Sugar Freezz Cafe — Restaurant in South Padre Island

Uhh not sure why there is so much hype for this place. Maybe people going here haven’t had real dessert. It wasn’t worth the money, and we left disappointed. I had a crepe that was just Nutella in a tortilla! They didn’t give me the one I ordered which should have had strawberries. The icecream tasted pretty basic when I took a bite of my children’s ice cream. The workers are friendly, but they need to stop trying to sell Italian and French desserts if they do not know how to make them. A tortilla full of Nutella isn’t a crepe and is just weird. Don’t offer if if you don’t understand what a real one tastes like. This place is packed due to the prime location but not for the quality...

The crepe is pretty good but they were out of all milks for the drinks. Very inefficient in the order taking and food making process. Orders are taken one person at a time then cook that order and serve before asking for the next person's order. Made our group of 5 take WELLL over 30 minutes for all orders to be taken. After each person's food was made, they still had to wait several minutes for someone to actually ring them up. There's no urgency to the staff. They're quiet and moving slow. Rude employees! Walked in at 10:45 pm to see them removing the ice cream and was told they were already closed despite a lit "open" sign and a closing time of 11 pm posted on the door. When I pointed that out and inquired about their actual closing time, they never gave me a straight answer. Instead, they kept saying you can only get Blue Bell ice cream if you want. I agreed because I didn't want to disappoint my child but felt like I was annoying them. Definitely won't...
