Island Fun Park — Attraction in South Padre Island

This place is formerly known as ‘Three Flags Over Padre’ if anyone remembers back to 2013. It closed down for some time for “renovations”. New ownership isn’t even what’s happening. Neglect for the “new” go-karts is quite noticeable. The karts are actually reject karts from Gravity Park down on the island. I paid $30 + tax for a double kart fifteen minute ride. I wish it was just five minutes. My poor wife kept pushing up against me at every turn due to the terrible restraints that basically didn’t exist. She’s a petite girl… my arm is sore and my right foot went numb during the ride. This place is not worth $30 and taxes! I mean, staff was nice. The young girl selling tickets literally egged me on to let my wife come with and ride … even though go-karts aren’t her thing (and that’s okay.) The employee made me feel like I had to bring my wife along even though my wife didn’t care to go.. and cheap for not paying extra. This little park has seen better days as the facility and karts have as well. I miss the older management/ownership. They took care of the karts as they were fast .. like 25 mph! I use to slide out of the corners with ease, really. I’d spend our fun money at Gravity Park...

This review is specific to the mini golf course they offer at the location with go-karts. They charge $20, not the $12 as shown on the website. I mentioned that and they dismissed it and said we’ve been trying to get the website updated for months. (Not the customer’s problem). The mini golf course was in terrible shape. The turf on every hole had tears or wrinkles or both. None of the “water hazards” or fountains had any water. It was absolutely terrible. Save your money and go to Gravity Park. We played their course the night before. It was $10 and the course was very well maintained.

If the owners of this location would update it with some new turf, paint, and fix the fountains it would be a great place to play. The sunset view is spectacular, food trucks are literally on site, and parking was easy. Until they do some updates and charge reasonable...

DON’T GO HERE THEY WILL JUST STEAL YOUR STUFF IF YOU LEAVE ANYTHING ACCIDENTALLY BEHIND. I left a water bottle there last night (7/4) of no real monetary value but a lot of personal value and was sent on a wild hunt by SEVERAL different employees there saying it was both there and not there. Despite their “efforts” in looking for it, for them to give me and two other people who went to find it different answers screams DIRTY BUSINESS. How much of low lives can you be to steal a water bottle even after so much effort went into recovering it?! THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME & MONEY. Especially when THE BEACH is next door. May the karma from all your stolen items follow you and your business into several lifetimes crumbling over and over again and if it wasn’t obvious this is a 0...
