If I could give no stars I would have done just that. You are better off baking a boxed cake at home, seriously. I ordered a cake for my son’s birthday. The cake was pretty to look at, and that was about it. I was embarrassed that I served this to my guests. The cake was course, no moisture at all, bland too taste; the cake tasted like dry cornbread. I was able to call in and pick up a new dessert style cake after expressing the horrible quality of the birthday cake. The dessert style cake was not much better; it was bland, mounds and mounds of icing and still lacked the moisture that a cake MUST contain! Moisture is essential if you’re going to call this a cake! Otherwise you’re serving glorified cornbread! I’m not a professional baker but I know I can outbake whoever is in the kitchen at cake lady bakery with my eyes closed. I would just let them decorate the cake once I’m done! I’ve also purchased a piece of ooey gooey butter cake; big mistake, it was terrible; hard, and way too sweet. The quality of their sweet treats is circling the drain. Did they change owners/bakers? I’ve patronized this business since 2010 on and off and the quality was much better back then. There’s no way you can call yourself a bake shop with dry, bland cakes….sorry. Maybe take some lessons in baking 101. Pretty treats too look at, but as far as consumption you will be highly disappointed! You’re better off either baking your cake at home; if you don’t have the time, go to sam’s or Walmart to purchase your cake instead; or baskin Robbins!!! Don’t waste you...

I was very disappointed with my birthday cake when I picked it up. It looked nothing like what I asked for or the colors that I asked for which is shown on the cupcake picture. I emailed them both pictures and specifically requested for my colors to be the exact same colors on the cupcakes. I even went in person TWICE to ensure I spoke with a cake decorator to make sure they had my order correctly. Honestly, if they couldn't do they cake and told me from the beginning I would've never asked them to attempt to recreate this cake, and would have been appreciative of their honestly. The sad part is I'm not a new customer they did my birthday and college graduation cake in the past. When they messed up my little sister birthday last October, I brushed it off because I had a good experience with them in the past and the lady was new who took her order. This time I have no excuses to formulate I was very displeased. I didn't even receive a simple apology for the incorrectness of their work or no remorse. Horrible customer service. I requested a quote for a cake and 48 cupcakes for my mother's 60th birthday. I was quoted $235.99. I had my mom finalize the order with my credit card, and was charged $482.89 for the order. When I called in the so called manager had a nasty attitude and told me if I had questions call my mother and ask her, or downsize my order. When I inquired about her rudenesse she told me she didn't have time. I disconnected the call and advised my mom that I was about to cancel the order. After a few moments to calm down I called back to cancel and was told I wouldn't be allowed to order again. I said great because I had no intentions. The clown then threatened to not give me a refund until I learned how to speak to her. The nerve! Before I knew it I cussed her out and demanded she stop playing with me and refund me or I would dispute it and be refunded regardless. She's a real B.
