This owner is a psycho, and I wish I read reviews before purchasing. I bought a birthday cake online 2 days in advance for my sister's birthday. I paid online at the time of the order, and received a confirmation that my order would be ready at 5:30pm the day of the party.
My husband and I arrived to the store around 6pm, and the line was out the door. After waiting in line, it turns out they lost our order., then were totally dismissive and simply said "well we're busy." You've been too busy for 2 days to check your own ordering system?
We had to wait while they pulled one of their frozen cakes out of the freezer (y'all didn't think they actually bake these fresh did you? Nope. Frozen. Like what you can buy from Sam's Club.) The owner came out and asked if we wanted free balloons for the fact that we were now late for the birthday party.
My husband pointed out that just giving us balloons worth $1 wasn't really helpful to us at this point since it's a cake for an adult, so the owner literally slammed her hand on the counter and loudly yelled that "they are $15!!!" before storming to the back. Y'all, I'm not exaggerating, she violently slapped the counter because we didn't want balloons. Like somehow this situation is our fault. Customers standing nearby were shocked by her outburst. My husband asks to talk to the owner again, and the girl tried to get her, but she hid in the back and told her to tell us to send an email.
By the way, our cake was still frozen and therefore inedible at the party. Nobody ate it. The owner is a total hot-head and obviously thinks that the brand recognition is enough for her not to need to provide good customer service, a quality product, or basic human decency to people who come in. I don't think I'll be spending $40 on another half-thawed cake from this place ever again.
Edit- I sent them an email and also a Facebook message and never received a reply. Check google reviews, yelp, and Facebook and what you’ll consistently find is that this owner is a psychopath. No one is doing...
Read moreI called yesterday at 5:10 pm to see if they had a strawberry cake 8 in available before making the drive, all though I know they are usually very good at taking care of walk ins. The young lady took my order whom I found out was the manager on duty in which she reminded me they closed at 6pm and took my payment over the phone. When I arrived, a young girl greeted me and asked if I was there to pick up a red velvet cake. I told her no and she paused for a second and went and grabbed the manager. Manger comes out from the back and asked again if I was there to pick up a red velvet cake, once again I said no. She then continued, saying she was the one that took my order and I specifically asked and ordered a red velvet cake. I for one have never tried red velvet and did not ask for a red velvet cake. So, I tell her for the 3rd time no ma'am I asked for strawberry, she then prints the receipt and shows it to me and said, you did order a red velvet cake. At this point I'm annoyed and say ma'am you must have heard wrong I did not ask for a red velvet cake... She then tells me she doesn't have a strawberry for me, so I end up settling for a white choc. raspberry. She tells her employee to go box it up for me and tells me shell take care of you and goes back to the back. What did it for me, was when the employee swings the door coming out with the cake, I was busy looking at the cups they have on display when all I hear is a slam/toss of the cake onto the countertop and her saying "there !!". When I tell you it took so much from me not to get upset in that moment, but I was on my way to celebrate my mom's birthday. It would have been nice for her to say, "here you go, thank you' or something but "there". No, that was not okay. I will continue going there because I absolutely love the cakes, but I hope these girls understand that that was horrible customer service. The need to argue with me and then slam the cake down was just not it.
Thank you...
