I don’t know what happened, if there was a change in management or if the business as a whole is struggling but I don’t think I’ll eat here again, and that makes me said because it used to be my go to place. The last couple times I’ve come, the salads have lacked their usual umph- there’s less of the toppings less of the dressings and the turkey always has this weird smell or taste to it… I usually do the drive through but today I came inside to have a girls date with an old friend and I was overwhelmed- the displays that I usually loved to look because of how cute and well set up they were are barely slapped together now, the pastry case was completely empty and there was a group of 5-7 people all waiting for their food, not looking happy. After I ordered, I waited for 20 minutes before my food came out, and only barely heard them call my name once, so I immediately got up and went inside to wave them down. I had to stand and wait in that aforementioned group of people for quite awhile before someone else called attention to us and only then did they address us and they were very impatient about it. The girl next to me mentioned that they hadn’t given her an extra plate or dressing like she had asked and she’d been trying to catch their attention for a while. When one of Kneaders employees finally got around to me I gave them the name of the order and they were very annoyed with me and said they already dropped that one off. I said I never got it and they huffed there way back to the counter with other orders, didn’t see my name, and then went and got the plate off of someone else’s table and said “this one is yours”. I was shocked. I’ve never had that happen to me, I wasn’t sure what to do about it. I felt weird eating something that had been on someone else’s table, and bad for them, but it didn’t look like anything had been eaten from so I just said thank you and took my food. It was my third experience where the meat had an overwhelming smell, not rotten just… weird. And the cinnamon roll had almost no frosting drizzled over the top.
Between the obvious hostility, and the wait for a sub par meal and the food and just the whole experience I was more stressed leaving Kneaders than when I came in. I felt like I had to apologize to my friend for suggesting we eat here. It was a meal wasted honestly.
I don’t know what needs to change. At the very least they need to be better staffed- there were easily thirty people in at the lunch rush and only three people working behind the counter- of course they’re going to be stressed, tired and making mistakes.
Whoever owns this store, I hope you make some changes and quickly, I’m really sad to have to chalk this whole thing up as a loss, but I don’t know maybe they can still...
Read moreWe were so excited to go to Kneaders today, one of our few days off. We felt lucky that you were doing the pumpkin French toast on a day we could go. We went to the Spanish Fork location and saw the line of cars at the drivethru but didn’t let that stop us. We parked and went into the lobby and the line wasn’t too bad. We knew we would have a wait but we weren’t prepared for what would happen over the next 70 minutes. We ordered, the lady at the register didn’t say, be prepared to wait over an hour. We sat down had some conversation and then began to notice that other customers were getting upset over the wait time they had. Talked to some girls next to us and they said it had been over 40 minutes. We also watched car after car after car go thru the drive thru. How were they getting their French toast or whatever they ordered so quick yet we had to wait…..we also noticed people placing online orders while in the café and getting their order before us and then proceed to sit down and eat what looked like delicious pumpkin French toast. We decided to go ask at the register what was going on and we were told they were out of pumpkin cream cheese. Nobody told us. That’s the whole reason we were there. So after waiting 70 minutes and being told nothing we wanted to talk to the manager and so did two other people waiting at the register. We waited and waited and waited at the register, nobody was there to take orders and the manager who was behind the counter that we could see plain as day wouldn’t come up to the register and wouldn’t make eye contact. By now our day has been ruined and we were tired of waiting. So we left…..we had no food and now you have made money on us because we didn’t get a refund and we wasted 70 plus minutes of our valuable time on our day off. You should be ashamed of your Spanish Fork location. Your goal is “to delight every guest and create a warm, welcoming environment for our customers” well we were neither delighted or felt a warm, welcoming environment. We felt like you could care less if you have lost us as a customer. Now we are going to tell everyone we know to never go to Kneaders because they obviously don’t care about their customers. Hope you enjoy the $20 donations that we made to your establishment. Maybe you can take that money and put it toward training for the manager that was on duty, Female dark hair. We don’t know her name but I’m sure you can look at your records and figure out who she is. And also get your soap dispenser fixed in the ladies room, its just laying on the counter.....wonder how many of your employees skip washing...
Read moreUpdate 8 months after original review: DON'T BOTHER WITH THE SPANISH FORK LOCATION. I have loved the quality and service at the three Kneaders locations in Orem and Provo, so thought that maybe if I ordered through Door Dash, I could avoid the infuriating online ordering issues I had previously at the Spanish Fork location. Ordering was fine, of course it was more expensive to get through Door Dash, but I was craving a nice sandwich and justified it to myself. My mistake. My sandwich was overloaded with sauce, had barely any turkey, barely any cucumbers, and some of the cucumbers were clearly old and browning. Lesson officially learned: Food quality at the Spanish Fork Kneaders is far below the other locations. I would have had a cheaper and more pleasant experience getting a turkey sandwich from Subway.
Original review: Good food, if overpriced. The problem is ordering online for pick up. I have ordered online at this location five times. All five times, I was given an expected time for the food to be ready. All five times, regardless of if I showed up right when I was supposed to or 20 minutes later, they did not start making my sandwich until AFTER I arrived and told them I was there. If nothing can be ordered ahead, that's fine. But why mislead me by letting me order ahead and showing a pickup time? On top of this, my order has been incorrect three of the five times I've gone here. Once they forgot an entire bowl of soup. They did give me a refund, but for the wrong item on my receipt. Two other times they did not make a sandwich per the customization I had ordered. Employees also seem to not care less about making people wait or giving them the wrong food; not even a quick apology was offered. I've given up trying to order here. If it were cheaper, the hassle might be worth it, but if I'm spending $10 on a sandwich, I'd like better...
