15 Dollars for a 5 Dollar Cheeseburger
I havent been to a Five Guys in almost 7 years. To be honest, I was never much of a fan to begin with but I wanted to give them another shot since it had been so long. To my dismay, their prices (I remember them always being high) were not something to bawk at. I ordered a Bacon Cheesburger and a Medium drink and it came out to nearly 16 dollars, for that much money youd expect a pretty good burger. Instead I was met with a burger I could have made at home for 4-5 bucks with microwave bacon. The cheese was still cold, the bacon paper thin and the patty was dry as a bone. A friend got a larger burger, large fries and a medium drink and it cost them 21 dollars.
The staff however was very friendly! They as far as I could tell were doing the job to the best to their ability's.
Overall, Five Guys is easily one of the most overrated burger joints on Earth. Go to In-N-Out and get a better burger and comparable fries WITH a drink for 9 bucks. The sign next to the front door that said "Best Bargain Burger"...
Read moreOn Oct 28, 2022, I came into the restaurant at 3:53 pm. I had not been into any Five Guys since before the pandemic and on a road trip to Moab I thought an order of fries would be an awesome snack. I gave this review a 1 because of the condition of the restaurant. The fries were delicious but everything from the front door to the tables, the floors, the bathrooms, the counters were filthy dirty and greasy. If they were busy I’d say maybe a 3 star but there was only one other person that came in. The tables had crumbs and streaks of grease and sauce on some of them. The order and pickup counter were dirty and the bathroom was a mess. The ketchup counter was messy. Overall just disappointing. There were at least 4 or 5 persons behind the counter but the only one really working was the fry station person. The others could have been taking turns putting the restaurant in order gif the dinner rush but instead were just...
Read moreIt has been a while since I stopped at Five Guys, but my son talked me into stopping for lunch here. I was impressed.
I used to think of this place as a high-priced In-n-Out, but I was wrong. It is a bit more expensive, but not by much, and the upgrade in quality more than makes up for it.
I had a small (single) bacon burger with fries. Their small is 1/4 pound, which is equivalent of In-n-Out's double. The larger patty keeps it juicier and you get a more substantial bite of beef. The bacon was not overcooked to death like most other places. Fresh toppings and great sauce.
The fries are fresh cut, but thicker. Ours were seasoned well, nice and crispy on the outside and thoroughly cooked and creamy inside. Nothing worse than a fresh fry that's under-cooked.
I will certainly be adding the Sp. Fk. Five Guys to my list of frequent...
