We went at about 4:45 (2 adults 2 kids) for all you can eat. The restaurant had empty tables still so we figured we beat the crowd. We got sat and given our papers to fill out and drink orders were taken. Everything is good so far. I mark down some nigiri, one crystal shrimp long roll for my kids to share and one crystal shrimp hand roll for me plus a few spicy rolls and appetizers. We gave our sheet to someone and within maybe 5 minutes we were being served all of our appetizers. Great. We were stoked. Then at the same time they started bringing us a bunch of rolls, including 3 crystal shrimp long rolls. I told the waitress we only ordered one crystal shrimp long and one hand roll and she went back to the kitchen to look at our ticket. Just for her to come back and condescendingly told me "yeah you did write 3". I wasn't going to argue so I just said sorry for my mistake. As my we are eating I notice none of the other rolls are right. Then the waitress comes out with even more rolls and I said hold up, none of this is ours. So she goes back to the kitchen (seemingly annoyed that i mentioned this wasn't our food). For her to come back holding two tickets asking which one was ours. I looked and pointed out ours only to realize she gave us someone else's entire order, I asked if there was a mistake and she looked irritated and said yes. I had written one crystal shrimp long roll and one hand roll, not the 3 long rolls she accused me of ordering. She gave a half-apology and went back to standing in the corner. No discount for not receiving the right rolls, no legitimate apology or remedy for the lack of sushi we wanted/got, no manager talked to us. We skipped our dessert and paid and left. Worst experience I've had and wouldn't recommend to others unless you want to be gas lit into thinking you...
Read moreMiso was boiling hot, with chunks of tofu, green onion, very good.
Thai hottie: tempera green onion and shrimp, light on the rice and the avocado was very ripe
Tha joint hand roll: Not very big but not loaded with rice, spicy and fresh cooked scallops, would have liked to see a little more, had to hunt for them.
Sushi virgin with spice crab on top: fried roll delicious tempura pillowy battered veggie roll. Love the tamago and he went heavy on the krab :)
The sexy house wife sub yellow tail for krab: Interesting choice with the lettuce and wonderfully cooked scallops. The pepper sauce on top was really different and I love it. This made it 5 stars! Generous amount of the scallops also. Hot sauce and chili powder to top it off! New favorite roll.
Tha Whole nine yards: joint mix is spicy crab and scallop with calamari krab on the inside and shrimp cream cheese and avocado out side and joint mix.
Chocolate mochi had chocolate chips in and reminded me of chocolate milk wrapped in chewy yummy mochi.
The eel sauce is teriyaki sauce. And we had to wait like 15 minutes for the fried roll but that's what the menu said so ya.
Over all reminded me of hiroba (read some of their staff was trained by the owner of hiroba) but I actually liked it more because of the sexy house wife roll with that crazy peppery sauce. Smaller rolls with very little rice in a good way! Service was tight and fast, the food was great quality and the sushi chef knew his stuff and never had a fuss when we avoided the raw fish like the pledge, he seemed even happy just to have us enjoy it! The raw rolls looked super fresh that other groups were ordering! Got the check quickly and left very satisfied. Clean upscale and modern...
Read moreIt's just average now. Over 5 years we have been there over 50 times and seen a lot of changes. Lately, the removed the only beef choice from the menu (Galbi Korean beef), so no reason for us to go there any more since that is the only reason we go there. It's all chicken and fish. And they removed the only pork selection. Further, the 3 choices of dessert are also gone in the last few months.
Also, for some odd reason, there is a huge turnover of staff. The last few times there were new servers every time. Something odd about that. And since they are new, they don't know the menu and get confused about the items.
Lastly, they NEVER get the orders right. Every time, yes EVERY time, we have been there in the last 5 times, they give us someone else's order or give our order to someone else. This happened just last week when we were only 1 of 3 tables at the time. It's frustrating.
Food is good, but with the limited choices now and not able to get orders correct, we have moved on to another restaurant...
