Located in Sparks Galleria shopping center is this quaint small mom and pop owned restaurant. The restaurant has maybe 10 or 11 tables. The staff is super kind and friendly. The food is always good. My husband likes the chicken Fajitas, my son loves the soft chicken tacos and I like the flautas.
Inside there is a small salsa and fixing bar. They have sliced radishes, limes, several varieties of salsa, onions and other items. Plus the first Wednesday of the month you get a 40% discount on food only. Be prepared to wait in line on the First Wednesday of the month.
The food is flavorful the service is friendly and kind. What more could you ask for.
Recently my son got his teeth pulled and was not hungry until quite late. I stopped by and opened the door. They were mopping the floors. I asked if I was too late to place a to go order. The chef from the kitchen said it was ok. The woman who took my order was super sweet and rambled off my usual order. I can't believe she could remember me. They are super sweet and I am going to have to remember their names. Normally I write it down. Sometimes I forget. Everyone who works here is sweet.
I said I was going to have to learn Spanish and they all beamed and said "Sure, we'll help you." How kind and sweet is that. I tell my kids that most people are genuinely kind and it's so true. I not only love the food and customer service but all the employee's and chef are...

Came in with my sister and we ordered two plates and two medium sodas. The bill was $35 - at a walk-up counter.
I get that prices have increased and everything is expensive, but then service and quality (taste) should be above and beyond expectations. Unfortunately, Jalapeños does not subscribe to this theory. After paying and waiting, we started noticing most of the other people in the restaurant had chips and salsa. We were not offered any, but wanted the traditional starter with our meal. I had to wait until a break in the line and return to the counter to ask if chips and salsa were included with the meal. They are, but apparently you have to beg for them.
They were disappointing. Chips are not fresh and the salsa was like colored water with a few chunks of onion.
After 20 minutes, our meals were brought to the table. One was correct, the other was completely a different meal than what we ordered. After another 7 minutes the correct order came.
Beans and rice were bland, no flavor at all. The birria (sp?) tacos were okay, until halfway through where there was a huge chunk of fat. Definitely appetite killer.
The chili rellano had very little flavor, mostly tasted cheese.
Not worth it. More flavor...
