Nam Van Noodle Café — Restaurant in Sparks

Unfortunately I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. Their service and food has really gone downhill, I'm not sure what happened. We went tonight and it was disappointment after disappointment. First off my 11-year-old daughter ordered pot stickers and it covered them in cayenne pepper. When we mentioned it they said sometimes that's how they come. What? She was on fire. Next I ordered the stir fry vegetables with beef and they gave me stir-fry vegetables with no beef. When I tried to bring it to their attention they said that they would bring me some beef, which they did and it was absolutely disgusting. Then instead of charging me for what I had ordered they charged me for stir-fry vegetables plus a side of beef which was a few dollars more. When I again brought it to their attention they did nothing, I wasn't going to argue so I paid and left. My wife normally gets the pork spring rolls and the pork was very dry, my daughter also got the orange chicken which was also very gross. The Mongolian beef was mediocre at best. Our server demonstrated on more than one occasion that he couldn't have cared less that we were there. Too bad, this is always been one of our favorite spots in Sparks but has seemingly gotten worse and worse as of late. They've lost...

Food is awesome, we've been coming here for about 6years. Today, we received the worst customer service by one of the servers. We walk in to the restaurant empty with the exception of a table with 2 people. My husband and I started to sit at the back table that seats 6. We know it's a big table but we've sat there before and it's never been a big deal, especially since the restaurant was empty. The employee tells us " oh, could you sit at this table (points at a table for 2) we keep the bigger tables for bigger parties. We agree to move, but I couldn't understand why the other couple was allowed to sit at a 4 person table. At that point we order appetizers and a meal for each of us, which clearly doesn't fit all at once at the small table. As we're finishing up another couple walks in, just the 2 of them, and they were allowed to sit at the table for 6. By that time it's just us 3 couples in the restaurant, and there was a table for 2 available. They were never told to move. Really dissatisfied and disappointed after the years we've been regulars the ugly treatment...

Gotta change my review. The "dine-in" hours keep changing. If you get there before 2:30pm, which is supposedly when dine in hours end, you will get told that it's "not busy enough" for dine-in and you will need to get there before 1:30-2:00 depending on how busy. So if it is "not busy enough," they will shut down dine-in 30 minutes to an hour before 2:30. The sign says dine in ends at 2:30, but if you get there sooner, they may still decide not to serve anyone dine-in. It was very confusing trying to figure out when I am actually supposed to be there for dine-in. If you ask about this, you will get multiple answers: before 2:30, 2:00, 1:30, etc. I think they may be gradually phasing out dine in or something. I wish they would update the business hours sign on the door and inside so I know when the dine-in hours really are. Fortunately, there is another Pho place just up the road by the bank, like 2 minutes away, so I can go there. It's a shame because I liked this...
