The manager/owner is absolutely horrible, we requested refund BEFORE the pizza arrived. “She” said no, I don’t have a name because she identified herself as a manager but refused to give her name when I asked.
Order pizza online, took about 20-30 or more to make. Online it said the pizza left at 12:20, great okay we should have the pizza soon. We are watching the app on the site(not mobile site). On the screen it states something along the lines of the driver has a few deliveries along the way, okay fine. Okay it was supposed to be delivered at 1pm. The car is on the map so I’m assuming this car has tracking right? If it shows the car driving this vehicle has tracking. Then the driver “Stanley” is driving and getting closer and further to the entire hour. Then it say’s DELIVERED!!!!!!! Which made no sense because the map showed the driver about like 10-15mins out or 3 different freeways away.
Called the store absolutely upset because we have been waiting for food for more than 1.5hours at this point, the time kept getting extended and the pizza say it is delivered(and it’s not)! The person that answered the phone sounds like a women but only identified herself as the manager and pointed out they are franchise so I am assuming she was the owner too. Very rude over the phone and she stated that the website was WRONG about when the pizza was being made, and said the website was WRONG about when it was being driven and she said the site was WRONG about being delivered. So I’m not sure how this franchise is in compliance with corporate. We go back and forth(again food is not here), I explain I want a full refund and want to cancel my order. The order hasn’t been l delivered and she(manager) confirmed her driver still has it, so this should be no problem right? Wrong she said we can’t cancel our order the driver it almost there. But like we have been waiting more than an hour and a half, we just want a refund. Finally a few minutes into this dreadful phone call the driver pulls up and again we don’t want it but he said he had to leave it. Basically forcing us to keep it after we spend 10min asking for a refund and to cancel! Not to mention the drivers name was not Stanley! The driver was nice though, he apologized and explain he was delivering a bunch of orders. No problem with this driver, different name then we originally saw driving online like 30mins before it was “officially” delivered.
While on the phone she was extremely rude, half of the people here were furious and in disbelief. Basically this location stole over $100. Horrible customer service and cold pizza. I ordered a pizza along with a side, only to make the delivery fee. The pizza is what I craved. The side was short with only being provided 6 of the 8 pieces and the pizza wasn't delivered at all. I called the store immediately to get the driver sent back and 20 minutes later, I'm still on hold! Now I'm full on the partial side I didn't really want and still have no idea if I will ever get my pizza!
Update: 25 minutes on hold and nothing. I called back and someone answered right away so I am now certain they forgot they placed me on hold. When I explained the situation, they knew who I was right away because my pizza was still sitting at the store; the driver never picked it up. Why they waited for me to call in instead of sending it out with another driver is beyond my comprehension. I was refunded for my order (the pizza was already a free offer, but still ended up with $15 in charges), and my pizza was sent back out for delivery. An hour after that call, still no pizza. Back on hold with Domino's, back down to one star. Finally they informed me they cancelled my order upon issuing the refund. When I pressed and called back multiple times, their solution to not dealing with it was to put me on hold and never pick back up. So I got in my car and drove down there to confront them.
Long story short, the blame game started, and eventually ended with me being told I was wrong and their ever-changing story was the truth. Good thing I had my phone to record the entire interaction. I'm sure corporate will understand how I feel when they see the video of these employees changing their story to whatever I said to make themselves look good. In the end, they did finally agree to make the pizza, probably because I wouldn't shut up about it and they couldn't put me standing there on hold. I declined. Read moreIt's official, I've been a customer of Pizza Hut over on east main st in hillcrest for over 3 years but no longer. They don't reward me for being a customer and have told me on multiple instances that they don't have the staff so I can't have a pizza delivered. They take forever to deliver and Typically when that happens I've had Dominos instead and its been alright but nothing special, until recently. My last 2 orders have been amazing, your app is a lot easier to use and your deals have improved, I also really like the process from order to delivery and the ability to communicate with the person making my pizza while its being made. You guys arrive earlier than Pizza Hut even though you're further away! I won't be ordering from Pizza Hut any more! I also adore your thin crust pizza! It's so flakey it reminds me of pastry dough and even tastes good a few days later. Overall awesome job and il be ordering from you again soon! Btw if you could add barbecue drizzle and crust toppings to your pizza ordering options Id love it as they are currently Pizza Hut things.
UPDATE! Another insanely fantastic experience with Dominos on Asheville HWY! I earned a free pizza from their reward program and as money is TIGHT right now I had to ask a friend if they wanted to share the pizza as I couldn't afford the delivery fee, not wanting to stiff the driver I called the store directly and spoke with Bryan and asked if I could pay my tip over the phone with the little bit of money I have on my card and the first thing he did was offer to waive the delivery fee! I politely declined saying that I don't mind paying that but I don't want to stiff the driver on his tip, he then told me since I am so close by and gave them great feedback not to worry about it! That is great service! They care about their customers and make sure we are taken care of, I will definitely be keeping this store on speed dial for the future.
