Long John Silver's | A&W — Restaurant in Spartanburg

We went through the drive thru at LJS last night and ordered a 12 piece meal. We asked for half fish and half chicken. After we paid they told us to pull into space 1 and they would bring the order to us. I assumed they had to cook the order fresh. When they brought our order the lady gave us the bags and said y’all have a nice night. I just knew the order was going to be right. I opened the box to count everything. Wouldn’t you know it, two pieces of chicken were missing! I always check because of bad experiences with this location leaving items out. Months ago my Husband picked up this same order here and we were missing two pieces of chicken. Before when we have gotten food from this location something is always missing. I don’t think we’ve ever gotten an order from this location and it’s been correct. That’s why I checked. I sent Monty back in the restaurant with everything including the receipt to get the two pieces of chicken. He came back out and said it’ll be 8 minutes. Questions: Didn’t they tell us to pull around to wait on our order so they could cook it fresh? How do you mistake six pieces of chicken for four every time you sell a 12 piece meal? Is this your way of saving money by intentionally leaving food items out thinking that your customers won’t look before pulling off? So we were there sitting in the parking lot longer waiting for two pieces of chicken. It’s not that bad if it’s just a mistake but this has happened so many times that I don’t think it could possibly be unintentional. I used to like LJS but after last night I don’t think we will ever go there again. The hush puppies were different and didn’t have any flavor at all. They just tasted like bread and grease. Twice this week I've tried to get food here before closing and they've apparently shut down early. The first time we got there at 9:45 (admittedly cutting it close), the second time was 9:20. Their advertised closing time is 10:00, so I'm really not sure what's going on with this location. The food is good, but good luck getting it. (March 2020)

ETA: Tried to give this place another shot after taking a break for a while, and they forgot half my daughter's food (she got a kids's meal that had no side item) and her toy as well as messing up half of my husband's food (he got the 2 for $6, it was supposed to be all chicken, and it was correct on the receipt, but the food we recieved was split between chicken and fish). Definitely wish this experience had been something that changed my mind about this place, but it is what it is: mediocre at best. (January 2021)

ETA 2: Tried again to see if we could have a good experience here, but they seem to be closed at 3:15 PM on a Monday, even though there's no signage to indicate that they wouldn't be open. The car out front makes it look like someone just doesn't feel like working, so after four minutes at the speaker, I just gave up, and I think I've given up on Long John's as a whole at this point. It's pretty bad you stop there 8:35 to get food at the long-johns aw and Blackstock Road here in Spartanburg South Carolina closed already what is the problem or is this going to be another location it's going to close its stores also this is the second restaurant tonight I've gone to either don't have products or don't want to be open and they always say they need help and wonder why they don't get help you cut yourself you staff so quickly because of their hours pay somebody 12 to 15 bucks an hour this is a joke and I'm a truck driver and I've put up with a lot of extra stuff out on the road set lot of places don't want to take care of the driver anymore even when you're home it was a restaurant manager for almost 10 years and they wonder why places are going out of business fast food is not what it used to be used to get good quality food now habit I'm get a burger has been thrown together you have sliding off the bun 1 Stars would I give it...
