Back again on 01/14/24.. place wasn’t very busy. We were seated fairly quickly, although we had to wait for a booth to be cleared. Waitress was friendly took our drink order, which took about 15 minutes at least and when she brought the drinks we placed our dinner order. In the meantime, a table of six was seated close to us. after about 20 minutes of waiting for food (or longer) the waitress came and said “I’m gonna go check on your food because it’s taking a little longer than it should.” She came back shortly and said “yeah, I made the mistake of placing your order at the same time of the party of six close by.” Now correct me if I’m wrong I think you can only enter orders one at a time. I think what she should’ve said, and what she was trying to tell us was that she placed their order before ours. The food was fine. When we finished our meal and made it obvious we were ready to leave, she looked at us from the bar area several times while she was organizing receipts, I guess. It took way longer than it should have for her to come and finish out our tab. This was the second time in a row we had a negative experience. Don’t know if I’ll be back now. I don’t think we should sit and wait 15 minutes, when the place isn’t very busy, while the waitress is organizing receipts at the bar before she brings our check.
Been here twice. First was during Restaurant week, second time was yesterday. Both times food and service were good. Yesterday we waited a while for table because it was crazy busy. No problem. When seated we got a small round table in the middle of main lower seating area that was not ideal. Wouldn’t accept that table again, was awkward, uncomfortable and the sun reflected off the building wall on east side and right into my face. Was really uncomfortable. One drink order was for a Bailey’s on the rocks, double. When drink came it was in a double shot glass, not a double glass. The shot glass was full of ice so the actual portion of Bailey’s was maybe 1-1.5 ounces; for $18! Really? When I pointed that out to server he did take off double charge($9) but the remaining charge of $9 for one+ ounce of Bailey’s was a little much. An Irish restaurant that didn’t seem to know how to serve Bailey’s…Still, we like the food and service even though the place is very very loud. Nothing in structure to absorb sound. Dubliner Toastie very...
Read moreI love the O'Donnell families from the back to the front of the house in most locations. I was really excited when the Spokane location was added. I try to stop in or order each time I visit Spokane. For some reason this location falls short in the food department. To be fair, I ordered delivery this time and I know that fried food ( fries/tots) do not travel well - especially if they are in a plastic container. Plastic retains the heat but steams the crunch out. This order: Drunken Wings. Healthy sized wing coated in a thick and musky sauce ( secret ingredient, celery salt?) Rich sauce and properly cooked wing. Con - Overly salted and the wings come with fries. No cooling dip or crisp vegetables sticks offered or available for order through the app.
Chicken Caesar wrap with tots. Inedible. Dry salad mix sloppily assembled in an orange tortilla that tasted like if stale grease from a flat top grill. The presentation was a poorly wrapped burrito - short on one end with filling falling out and double flapped on the other because of too much tortilla. Was not cut in half and did not come with dressing or mayo.
Clam chowder. Perfectly cooked potatoes and large pieces of clams. Con- Way heavy handed on salt and pepper. There was so much black pepper that it actually heated the mouth and smothered all other flavors out.
I started out with O'Donnells at the very first location in Everett. Loved them so much that I would order catering for our office from their Pioneer Square location at least once a month. Their family, food and community involvement is all love and notable. Im rooting for the Spokane location to fine tune...
Read moreAwful experience! We walked in around 6pm and waited to be seated for 10 minutes before the bartender yelled from the bar that she'd be with us shortly. After another 5 minutes we were finally seated. We waited another 15-20 minutes before a server came to speak with us. Mind you the restaurant was empty! She took our drink order and disappeared for another 10 minutes. Finally came back with our drinks and took our order. My son ordered a french dip, I ordered the stew and my wife ordered fish and chips. After what seemed like an eternity, another woman (server possibly) showed up with our food. We unwrapped our silverware only to find that 2 of the 3 silverware sets had food stuck on not only visibly but we could see texture. We asked for new silverware and received clean silverware. Time to eat. Only my son's french dip had very little beef in it. My stew was cold...not just cooled off. My wife's fish and chips were overcooked but edible. When our server finally returned my wife and son were halfway through their meals so I informed her about my stew and she offered to have it warmed up but it was way past that point, we were ready to get out of there! I asked her to just remove the stew from the bill. Soon she came back with our bill and I paid it and we left. There was no apology, no manager came to find out what happened...nothing!! This was by far the WORST dining experience we've had in memory! Do yourself a favor and find...
