Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Spring Valley

ZERO STARS IF I COULD!! Story time. I was working at the office and decided to order lunch. Went to this location at the correct time only to be told by the young lady working the counter that they did not have my order. As in, there is no order at this location under my name. She suggested maybe I ordered from the wrong location. I didn't have my phone on me (my mistake) so I had no choice but to return to the office without food.

Once in the office, I check my order and it was correct after all. I try to call the location to speak with the young lady at the counter but that is apparently not possible. The automated response is just an endless loop saying if there's a problem, use the chat bot in the confirmation email to address any concerns.

I try the chat bot, at this point I'm fed up and just want a refund to my order. Chat asks 'did you pick up your order?', kind of? 'Was something missing?', yeah the whole thing. None of the right choices to address my problem and it keeps telling me that the system doesn't understand my answers and keeps recycling the same questions. 'Did you pick up your order?' etc. URGHHHH!!!

So I get in my car and drive back to Chipotle. I ask to speak with a manager and Jesus comes out from the back. I explain the problem and ask for a refund. He asks me to wait a second and walks to the back. Returns and says that he doesn't know why he didn't get the order. At this point he suggest I GET IN LINE AND THEY'LL MAKE MY ORDER!!!

I was really frustrated at this point and again asked for a refund. Guess what, they can't issue a refund at the location for an online order.

But that's not all. I go online, find the customer service email address, explain my dilemma, and ask for my refund. I also ask for someone to reach out to me. Instead I receive an email with my refund confirmation and a canned remark.

I understand that systems don't always do what they're designed to do. But the number of steps I had to take and the level of frustration I had to endure to get my $9 refund is ridiculous!!

And now...

This is from a company lunch order from June 26th, 2024. Our company has order here for lunch several times, as well as some employees have gone here on their own.

However, the food quality has drastically gone down, and several employee orders are often incorrect or missing something. I can see why it was on the actual news and social media shortly after this purchase.

This was the owners personal item: Ordered a Burrito Bowl with Smoked Brisket, which is $2.10 more. Added white rice, fresh tomato salsa, green chili salsa, fajita veggies, romaine lettuce, cheese and sour cream.

The Smoked Brisket was 99.8% chunks of fat. You can see that in the pic on the plate next to the bowl. Those were the chunks of "brisket" (aka: lard) that I I didn't eat. The actual "meat" is the two tiny slivers next to the sour cream. There was No fajita veggies. The romaine lettuce is the few strips you see on the side of the bowl next to the sour cream. The bowl mostly consisted of the rice and black beans and the tomato salsa. You can see how deep the rice and beans mix is based on the fork that is upright in the bowl. There was no cheese. I'm sure the green salsa was added, but probably blended in with the rice as they would usually put it on top of the veggies and lettuce that were missing.

Also, I had to get a paper plate to put my bowl on as you can see how greasy the bottom of the bowl is from what you can see in the picture. I should have taken a picture of the actual bottom of the paper bowl that they serve this in. It was really bad. Glad I was not in a vehicle and put it on the seat.
