I had a very disappointing experience at this store, and I feel it's important the manager is made aware of it.
It was my first time visiting this location, and I walked into the lobby to look at the donut selection and get an idea of what I wanted. There were people already inside, so I assumed the lobby was open. However, a staff member told me quite abruptly that the lobby was closed and asked me to leave. While I understand policies, the way it was handled felt unkind and unnecessary.
I then went through the drive-thru and ordered three donuts. When I received my order, I calmly mentioned that I thought the way I was treated earlier was not right. I explained that I only walked in because I saw other people inside and wanted to check out the options as a new customer.
The situation escalated when I asked for my receipt. She refused to give it to me and got visibly upset. I found that extremely unprofessional. A receipt is a basic right for any paying customer. I couldn't help but wonder if she didnāt want her name or behavior to be on record.
I left without causing further conflict, but I seriously considered reporting the incident further. I chose not to ā not because I wasnāt in the right, but because I generally avoid confrontations. Still, I walked away feeling disrespected and unwelcome.
I hope management sees this and takes the opportunity to train staff on how to better handle customer interactions, especially when explaining store policies. A little kindness and professionalism can make all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDecided to swing by on the way heading to the airport with my father. The thoughts of having some warm glazed donuts with hot coffee sounded great. When we parked we were welcomed by a homeless male asking for a dollar. Stepped inside to discover trash and napkins all over the floor. Still determined in getting or quick breakfast snack, we got a couple of Kolacheās and a dozen glazed donuts with coffee. Sat at the barstools inside while eating our donuts and enjoying father & son time. Once we finished, our hands were covered with sugary glaze, I asked the cashier if we can get the restroom key since the doors were locked. Cashier stated that restroom is not open to the public! I requested to speak to the manager, and the manager on duty was Juanita, coincidentally she was actually in the restroom! Lol!! We waited almost 15 minutes for her to get out so I can talk to her on why we needed access to the restrooms. We were running late and had to leave and left the premises with sticky hands! I contacted Shipleys Corporate, and they notified franchisee owner of that location. I will also be reaching out to the Health Department since during the time of Covid customers should have access to sanitize their hands before or after a meal. Very disappointed with my visit at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place has had consistent issues with their CSRs at the drive through. Today, waited almost 10mns because the car in front appeared to have ordered a few dozen donuts. Shipley store manager, have your employees move these customers forward to wait for their large order and free up window to service other customers. There at least 4 others behind me. This is basics. Also, if your window rep money doesn't attract decent individuals, take a page from Taco Bell and use ai for your orders. I ordered a coffee and a solace. CSR asked if I wanted creamer and I said yes, and sugar too. Drove away and did not have any sugar in coffee condiments bag. This has been one of many bad experiences and I'm done. Shout out to Icy Donuts, just discovered this place and everything I have tried has...
