The ribeye was delicious. Smoky taste, perfectly cooked and generous. However, the beans and the rice were really disgusting - I never use this word to qualify food but well... When you're served can-quality food for a course that you pay $$ that's a real shame - the salad was not fresh but the fried onions were good. Also, there was a blue cheese sauce. My bf asked for mayonnaise or mustard instead of the sauce as he cannot eat blue cheese and the waitress just told him they didn't have any mayonnaise, nor mustard... In my entire life, I've never been in a restaurant where there wasn't mustard or mayonnaise, even though it was in industrial individual bags.
EDIT to the answer as I cannot directly reply to the owner : Please learn to read properly, as it feels like you deliberately misinterpreted my words to decredibilize my review. I never mentioned I wanted to have industrial bags of mayo or mustard, I said it was shocking to tell a customer there was neither mustard nor mayo available, EVEN - not meaning I wanted them in industrial bags. I've been working over a decade in a Palace and if your chef is not even able to make a mayo (here is my present to him, the recipe of the mayo:1 egg yolk, a bit of mustard (not mandatory), a pinch of vinegar, of salt and a vegetable oil) well let me have huge doubt on the fact everything is house made. Not even another sauce has been offered to my friend as an alternative and in all the restaurants I have ever visited - and trust me there are a lot, from fast food to Michelin star gastronomic restaurants - I have never been told that mayo/mustard was unavailable!! also I never mentioned the rice came from a can, I wrote 'can quality food' which means what it means. Please. Don't fool me, as I told you, I've been working in a restaurant during a while and I can make the difference between home made food and other food. Maybe I was unlucky that day and you were short of beans and rice - like 2 items of the menu that were unavailable - and the cook took what he had, I don't know, I don't want to make assumptions, but what I ate was definitely not fresh food. my review is honest, I reported what was good and I highlighted it, the ribeye was really good. However when I go to a restaurant, I always read the reviews before and I hope previous guests are honest enough to tell what's good and what's not. Being disdainful like you are in your reply is just a reflection of your customer service. Sorry but when I go to a restaurant, the purpose is to enjoy a great time eating great food and I pay the price for that, so I have the right to share my thoughts for other customers and if you cannot accept good AND bad reviews, there's no room for improvement and...
Read moreCame here tonight with my wife and 4 kids. Service was awesome, with the exception of a girl with baggy pants and sweater who responded to me thanking her for bringing us our appetizer with a simple “yeah”, and walked off. I guess that’s typical with gen z now? Unacceptable, but whatever. Our actual server was great, though— very attentive. The food, unfortunately, was anything but Mexican. It’s hard to top the Mexican food back home in California, so we try not to compare, but this particular meal was pretty bad. The chile verde was gelatinous, topped with Fiesta cheese, and served with cold tortillas. Why? It looked like something straight off the menu at Chevy’s. It was also way too spicy. We love spicy food, but not if that’s all you taste. The Brie quesadilla was only ok when it was completely covered with the jalapeño jelly. And what’s up with it being made on a wheat tortilla? Not sure what that’s about. Definitely not Mexican. The fish taco special was decent, but the kids’ enchiladas were pretty terrible. I’m guessing most kids in this area have no idea what real enchiladas are supposed to taste like, but with mine being half Mexican, they knew better. We essentially had to bribe my daughter to finish just half of it. My younger son liked his cheese quesadilla, though. It’d be pretty hard to mess that up. He was kind enough to share with his sister, since she only ate half of her meal. Idk, maybe it’s just us. Maybe we’re the crazy ones for expecting to find decent Mexican food in Springdale, UT. Again,...

Summary: Upscale Tex-Mex with above average food. My favorite place in Springdale that we tried.
This place should get a 3.5 but I'm cutting it some slack because it's in Springdale, UT, where expectations are admittedly lower.
Came here with a few friends after a long day of hiking in Zion. This place is huge and has lots of seating so the three of us were fortunate to get seated immediately at 7:30 PM on a busy evening.
The place is covered in Southwestern items but with a modern twist which gives it a more upscale vibe. That vibe is further confirmed by the menu.
FOOD: We started with the steak skewers with peanut-lime sauce and Asian slaw. This is a concept that I feel like I could find back home at a restaurant in Boston but the execution wasn't quite there. The steak just didn't seem to be of the highest-quality, and was cooked a bit more than medium.
However, I ordered the chicken burrito which was delicious and very filling which made up for the appetizer. It came with this dark enchilada sauce that I could have eaten every last bit of. It was one of the better burritos that I've had and was more of the reasonably-priced things on the menu (it was definitely pricier than average).
This was our favorite place in Springdale though we really only went to a few so take that with a...
