Bizzy Jean's is not Dizzy Jean's. I don't know if Local Guides on Google is still a thing but if it is here is a review by a local guide on Bizzy Jeans.
It's 4:50am my partner and I just got done with yet another call, dropping a patient off at the hospital. It's beenย a busy, cold, wet, rainy shift. Having tried and failed a few times to get a bite to eat, only to have dispatch drop yet another call on us. We found ourselves in a parking lot, tired, hungry, and consigned to the fait the rest of the shift would bring us. Another light blinked on as the city slowly woke. Bright red and blue it stood out against the pre-dawn light: OPEN.
With hope of at least slightly improving our situation and to end our mutual states of Hangry. Both my partner and I took our portable radios inside. It was clean with the smells of fresh donuts, many still bring made. The lady whom I later discovered to be the owner was kind and friendly to our haggard faces.
Of anything, my biggest complaint was that the entire selection was not immediately available when they opened their doors. The coffee was cheap and strong, the donuts were fresh, the service both friendly and timely.
So, I'd like to thank this locally owned shop for just being here. Hopefully we as a community can be here for you as well.
I've been to Dizzy Jean's as well, it's at the other end of the urban area in another...
ย ย ย Read moreThis establishment orders from Dawn Distributors Advantage which is basically like ordering Betty Crocker. Itโs all premixed off-site; This location just warms up the doughnut mix in a oven and adds sprinkles. They have copied about 6 different Voodoo Doughnuts (bacon maple, Captain Crunch etc.) I have tried 4 of them and Iโm not returning for the other 2; They failed to exceed Voodoo in everything but price. Which when paying so little for a treat, I guess you kinda get what you pay for. The bacon maple from here was greasy and droopy; while the glazed was thick and doughy for instance... The lady was rude when we asked for a box to carry home our 4 large doughnuts and gave us a little grief for not getting 6. Sorry, but the bag that was first offered wouldnโt even fit my hand lady. Iโm not going to juggle multiple bags a few blocks. I needed the walk to prepare my arteries for the grease tsunami apparently anyways. Wonโt return here. I live only 3-4 blocks away and Iโd rather drive to Eugene...

I met the owner, a sweet lady who is clearly under a great deal of stress by being confused for another donut shop, and even got a harassing phone call while I was there.
My intention was to get only 1 or 2 donuts, but after seeing their display case I ended up with half a dozen, including an apple fritter, cinnamon twist, maple bacon bar, and more. For my 6 donuts the price was $12.50 which seems reasonable.
As a former donut fryer I can be a harsh critic of donuts. Overall they were good, slightly dry and, as is often the case with donuts, there was a filmy feeling after eating them. Overall, I give them a solid 4/5, worth stopping by if you're in the...
