What can I say, I've been going here for over a decade and I love this place! The staff are very friendly. The eating area is clean, tables, floors, and walls are natural wood which gives it a really nice feeling. A lot of antiques hang from the ceiling and there are beautiful murals on the walls. Bathrooms are clean. My only pet peeve, I wish they would clean that beautiful big mirror behind the bar. Years ago I watched the staff removing the liquor bottles, wiping them off and cleaning the mirror. It has a nice sparkle when it's clean. It's usually one of the first things I notice when I come in and lately it looks like it hasn't been cleaned since. Lol It has a grimy look to it. But I'm not eating off the mirrors so I can live with it. It's located downtown. The theme of the restaurant is of course New Orleans, Southern, and jazzy. The only issue can sometimes be parking. Especially after the pandemic when they removed some of the parking spaces for outdoor dining. You have to find metered parking on the streets. There is a parking lot next door but it's too expensive. I normally find parking because I avoid rush hour and busy weekends. Prices are very reasonable and portions are generous and priced well. Normally, you are greeted at the door. After they seat you, they offer a bowl of fresh popcorn. The food is excellent! Very very rarely have I had an issue with my food but if you do have an issue, let them know right away. They will quickly rectify the issue and replace the item. I've tried almost everything on the menu. Lol My favorite, in a nutshell, are the slow-cooked ribs and the brisket. The brisket I usually need to smother in barbecue sauce though because sometimes it's a little too dry. Their barbecue sauces are amazing and homemade. My favorite is their bourbon sauce. Their BBQ smoked burger is amazing! The cheese is real cheese, leafy green lettuce, crispy fried onions, and BBQ sauce. I don't eat it with mayo or ketchup because I don't think it needs it. It comes with waffle fries but I substitute it for another side. My favorite sides are their collard greens, mashed potatoes, and their cornbread with honey butter. I like their baked beans as well but you can tell the cooks that make them season and cook them differently and don't always follow the same recipes. Sometimes it's amazing and sometimes it's just okay. This is not a big deal. Their desserts are amazing as well. I love their bread pudding. Their alcoholic beverages are great. They have a nice menu selection. They have a stage for live bands, usually for weekends after 9:00 p.m. You can check out their calendar of events on their website and it will list the bands that are performing that weekend. If you can't make it often, try not to miss their Mardi Gras every year in February! I went for my birthday once and tried not to miss it every year since. They have a special New Orleans food and drink menu during Mardi Gras and an excellent band playing. Staff are super prompt with your food and very friendly. I have been to New Orleans and it gives me the exact same vibe as the big easy. Some of the underground bars there very are similar and really laid back. This is and will probably always be one of my favorite places to go in the city. It is truly a gem.

In my humble opinion, it stands out as the best bar in Springfield, especially considering the limited options in this small town. The atmosphere is exceptional, adorned with a charming vintage interior featuring wooden accents, metal plates on the walls, and a unique beer draft handles chandelier that adds an authentic touch. The St. Patrick's Day countdown clock brought a smile to my face, creating a lively and enjoyable ambiance especially the night featuring a live band. What truly sets this bar apart is it's genuine character, breaking away from the monotony of cookie-cutter franchises. The bartender's exceptional friendliness and attentiveness further enhances the overall experience. And let's not forget the pièce de résistance – the MEAT! You can't go wrong with any meat dish you opt for, the overnight smoking process ensures a consistently mouthwatering culinary delight (except you "vegans" out there) . The menu, complemented by a respectable selection of draft beers. This has become a must-visit spot for me whenever I'm in Springfield. Highly recommended for those seeking an authentic and delightful bar experience that goes beyond the ordinary. Keep up the good work and cheers Theodore's!

Greeted as soon as we arrived and place at a table without a wait. They have a bar and a dinning area with booths, tables, and high bar like tables. The place has a very chill vibe. The lights are just enough and they also have TV's at the bar. In the dinning area there is a stage for entertainment. This location is actually pretty big but from the street it looks small. Our waitress was wondering! She refilled our drank without us even having to think about needing a refill. Our food was delivered at a great pace and the presentation was very nice. We ordered the smoked wings and they were really really good. My partner and I ordered a half rack of ribs and the 1/2 lb brisket. Both were amazing but some of the side were just a bit bland for our taste but the BBQ is the main thing so I'll give them that. Their waffle fries are amazing so next time I'll just get fries with my meal. Overall a wonderful experience and I'd definitely recommend this place for a BBQ fix! We will be back 😊. Also they have VERY GOOD sweet tea 😋.

First time here, such a cool place!!! We went for lunch, food was so delicious.. Our waitress was super friendly and pointed out all the favorites. We started with nachos which were so yummy with different sauces available at the table. My husband got the burnt end’s appetizer and gumbo. OMG the burnt ends were big, tender, flavorful and a good quantity. Accompanied by the gumbo to put it over the top. I split with my mom the Hot Honey Fried Chicken Sandwich. DELISH!!! With a side of sweet potato tater tots to top it off. Yummy! Live entertainment on the weekends and upstairs they have 9 Billiards table. Next time we’re passing through we will definitely be eating there again. If we lived closer it definitely would be one of our favorite places to eat!!! Would love to go on a weekend and hear some Blues music. About a 1 minute walk from the restaurant is a parking lot that you can pay a couple bucks during lunch time to sit and eat for a couple hours.

Not a bad place. The staff were very friendly. They gave us a heads up about the parking lot close by and it's a bit risky because the lot is owned by a towing company. You do the math. The nachos weren't bad but they weren't my favorite. They had chili on them. If you like chili you'll love them. I'm not a huge fan of chili. The ribs were DELICIOUS! I LOVED THEM. The Mac & Cheese was good. Not kraft krap. It was real homemade-style made with elbow pasta. The waffle fries and sweet potato tots were perfect. Just enough crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The atmosphere was cool, laid back, and casual. The place had a lot of art on the walls but we were in a corner out of sight so I didn't get any good photos. The bathrooms were nice and clean. That's always a plus. The server was really nice and very helpful. All around a good place. Best, Clint Clint's Mint

We had a group of 8 at 12:30 pm on Monday, 4/8/24. We were seated right away. Our waitress, Keitha, was great and got everything right! Here’s what I had: - Corn Bread with Honey Butter ($3.49): Soo delicious! Comes with 4 pieces. Plenty to share! - Beef Brisket Bar-B-Que ($21.99, comes with 2 sides): Wow, the brisket was so tender and amazing. I got it with the waffle fries and sweet potato tots and both were deeeelicious. I also tried someone else’s mac and cheese, which I wasn’t as impressed with. I definitely recommend the sweet potato tots! It was plenty of food. Others got the Chopped Salad with Blackened Chicken ($9.99 + $7), Burnt Ends (I believe this was also $21.99), and Black Bean Burger ($13.99) Everyone really enjoyed their meal! Great food, great service. Highly recommend!
