Yum Yum Bowl — Restaurant in Springfield

This had been my wife's favorite Chinese place until the fiasco tonight. Went thru the drive thru and placed our order, which was the same order as last night. But the total he gave me was almost half the price. So when I got to the window I confirmed what we wanted and he said he would edit the order. A couple minutes later a young lady handed me my card and some food. I told her we also had a large strawberry melon iced tea. She hands me a drink and we pull away. My wife takes a drink, and it's Dr Pepper. Then she looks at our order, and it's all wrong. Plus, they never actually ran my card either.

So we go thru the drive thru again. We pull up to the window. I tell him again (third time now) what we wanted and that I didn't think they ran our card. So he takes my card, runs it, hands out the correct drink. He then goes to hand me my wife's food. She had ordered the large chicken fried rice and he was handing me the small portion. I again had to correct him that we wanted the large (4th time). He then asked me "Do you want to wait longer or just take what we have here." Seriously? I want what I've told you 4 times now. Then he says he needs to run my card again for the $3 difference.

This kid needs to be taught some actual customer service skills. By this point we've been trying to get our order for 30 minutes, and he's worried about $3. I paid it, but goodness gracious this was way more of a hassle than it needed to be. I guess from now on IF we ever come back here, we are going inside to order cause y'all can't do it right through...

Stopped in one day for a late lunch with my husband and everything about the experience was top notch. The building has plenty of room and is clean and welcoming with very pretty and fun decor. The staff is super helpful, friendly and inviting and willing to answer questions and make suggestions. I had spring rolls and a medium Hawaiian tofu and my husband had gyoza and a medium hot and spicy chicken, we each chose steamed rice. The portions were fantastic and we were glad we ordered smalls as it was more than enough food for each of us especially with appetizers. We shared a soda as I don't drink much more than water and it was great too, perfectly balanced and refreshing. We were very impressed and loved our food and we'd highly recommend them. My husband follows a regular diet and I'm a vegetarian and there are so many options for both. If you're a vegetarian in this area you know it can be hard to find more than a dish or two at any given place but here you'll have several great options. We're looking forward to trying new dishes very soon. This is how a business and restaurant should be run and you won't be let down going there! We have come back...

Probably the cheapest lunch i have ever had to pay for!!! I got the small General chicken with water and paid for my co worker's small sweet and spicy chicken with water. My total was $8.63 after tax! My co worker enjoyed her dish so much she went back and took her wife later that week! Yum Yum Bowl's general chicken is sweeter than I typically care for. It was hot and fresh, but the flavor wasn't as bold as I am used to. Regardless, I will definitely be back to try the other dishes, and for the price, it's a great place for lunch!
