It's hard to find anything redeeming about Clark Street Grill. We ate here twice as we had 2 Groupons, and both times it was an utter disappointment. Typically when service is this bad and food this awful, I write the establishment to let them know, but in this case I figured everything was SO bad they had to already have known.

The first time we ate here, we had the ravioli as one of our appetizers. They were so burnt they were almost black; when my boyfriend simply mentioned this to the waitress she said "yes, they do look burnt" and walked away. No offer to replace or even an apology. When ordering, we asked the size of the tenderloin on the menu, and were told it was 10 ounces - for that price it seemed like a great deal, so it was ordered. When it came out, it couldn't have been 6 ounces - this was mentioned to the waitress and she said, "oh no, that's 10 ounces before it's cooked; it shrinks." My burger tasted burnt as well, but I ate it as I was hungry and couldn't imagine her getting it fixed.

Without going into as much detail, our second experience was horrible as well. My chicken was so dry you couldn't even chew it, and the sauce on it was really terrible. The waitress was better (not great, but better), but still we...

A Solid Hotel Restaurant for a Quick and Convenient Bite.

I was staying at the Westin for a business trip, waiting for my room to be ready and it was close enough to lunch. I started off with the Toasted Ravioli ($8) with marinara sauce and it came out quick. It was sprinkled with parmesan cheese and tasted good. My only recommendation would be to cook them for one minute less, so they do not come out softer.

I also ordered the Pollo Panini ($14), a grilled chicken breast, with baby spinach, heirloom tomato, fontina, and pesto. The sandwich was solid, good taste, and could have used more pesto. However, the side... a fennel and orange slaw, was tremendous! Never had anything like it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would have ordered a couple more sides!

Overall, this was a good restaurant that served its purpose, coupled to a hotel. You can come down for a convenient, good meal for...

I will start with the good. The dinner the night before was really good. Good pizza.

So since dinner was good, we thought we would try the breakfast. HUGE mistake. We did have a party of 7. The food coming out was cold and it took 15 minutes between the first order delivery to the last, had to ask the waiter for the last order. 3 waffles.. were very cold, served with cold butter.. wonderful trying to spread that, of course we had to ask for the butter. The bacon was twice cooked and deep fried. So maybe it would be hot… nope ice cold. Would have let our waiter know, but he never came back to the table. So we ate what we could, because well we were hungry and we had follow on plans. If you want to charge $140 for breakfast, you should at least make sure it is warm. Waiting on the manager for this one. Will...

This beautiful restaurant is connected to the Westin downtown St. Louis… I had excellent service, great food, and a full belly. Has an excellent view of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball field..
