The name is very deceiving. Nothing about Gary’s is Fine, they’re lucky to skate by with achieving a Dining atmosphere. First off, I’m unsure of who trained their bar staff but I ordered an Old Fashioned and got some monstrosity that had lemon and orange wedges in it, with maraschino cherries and a SUGAR RIM. It was the sweetest, most disgusting attempt to an Old Fashion I’ve ever seen. I’m not entirely sure there was whiskey in it. Luckily I returned it for something a bit similar. Then came our meal, which not only tasted like it was thrown in a microwave, but the baked potato was cold, and the “veggie side” looked as if the Golly Green Giant cooked it himself. Avoid the hassle and go some place else that has a legitimate chef.

So I Ordered The Catfish Dinner . It Was A Big Ass Fried Fillet On A Bed Of Yellow Rice Served With Mixed Vegetables . It Was Okay The Rice Was A Little Hard Still (So Under Cooked I Think) But Everything Was Seasoned Well . I Ordered A Strawberry Lemon Drop From The Bar , It’s Presentation Was Great But The Drink Wasn’t As Good As It Looked . The Band Was Too Loud To Hold A Conversation Or Even Just Exchange A Word Or Two With Your Table-mate Just Within A Foot Or Two Or You . Overall I Had A Good Time And Enjoyed Myself , It Was An Enjoyable Different Experience .

Good food takes time. If you want something quick before taking in a show at the Fox, then get some chicken tenders or a burger. But, if you want a fabulous meal in a hip yet intimate atmosphere, then get an entree Don't forget to start with the crab stuffed shrimp as an appetizer. These were so good, I almost wished that I had gotten a double order as my entree. Glad I didn't, though, because the catfish was absolutely amazing. Best I have had outside of New Orleans. Love the servers here and the overall atmosphere. Alcoholic drinks are good but very strong.

My husband and I were heading to the Fox Theater this evening when two employees came out with smiles and a great attitude told us about the delicious buffet and some of the items on it and we should stop in before the show. We did just that. We probably should have looked at what they considered a buffet before we sat down but we didn't. The coke was kind of flat but no biggie. So the "prime rib" was like the frozen salisbury steak tv dinners but was probably the best of the hot food items. The other meat options were a lemon pepper cod fish(so dry I could barely chew it), chicken Parmesan I believe but that was not edible either(very dry, old tasting, like days old. Then there was a Hawaiian Chicken, I couldn't bring myself to try it because it did not look great. My husband tried it he said it wasn't terrible but had zero flavor. There was mashed potatoes(clearly boxed mashed potatoes with zero seasoning or flavor) the gravy made the potatoes fine… corn straight from the can with zero seasoning or flavor… asparagus (gross). The worst part was the Alfredo and broccoli noodles. I don't know if the noodles or the sauce was bad but I couldn't do it. It was like sour water Alfredo noodles. I ate lots of "prime rib" mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, and fruit... For $25.00 a person.

Just to add I have over 20 years in the restaurant business so I understand that sometimes things happen but this entire "buffet" was a complete fail except for the salad, fruit, and dessert.

I will say the atmosphere was nice. They had nice music playing, decor such as Dean Martin. This would be a great location but the food they served reminded me of nursing home food or institution food....

I went with family and friends (some of who came from out of town) to help celebrate my cousins birthday. The service from the waiter to the owner was horrible. To start, I order the seafood pasta with sauté shrimp. When the food came out it look like soup with a bunch of salad shrimp mixed in the pasta. It tasted horrible. When I attempted to talk to the waiter about the food. He said he is just the waiter he didn't cook the food and I should have talked to the owner when he came out. He was so rude. I asked him to get the owner. The owner Gary came to my table and had the nerve to say they don't sauté the shrimp just the pasta and that it came like that. Yes, that is what he said. I preceeded to explain to him that his menu stated sauté shrimp. That tells me that they were not making the food fresh and serving pre-packaged food. They tried to pass Swai for catfish. We had about three plates that the owner tooked back. The owner charged for one of the plates that was taken back, saying it was half eaten which was a straight lie. In stead of keep arguing back and forth my cousin paid for the uneaten dish. Gary the owner was very unproffessional and disrespectful cussing some of his females guest out. We left and vowed to never return. I wished I had checked his reviews prior to going to his Establishment. With all this been said. If you don't mind having processed food, false advertising on the menu, poor service and been disrespected the Gary so call fine dining may be for you. ( There is nothing fine about Gary's...

Sad to say this was my first and last time here. We came on concert night however we were greeted and seated promptly in a section that was for “concert goers”. Our order was taken at the time of seating and put in. The waitress/bartender is who we had. She never brought the drinks ordered or even checked on the table. She went to 2 other tables and chatted with each tables back and forth twice and back to the bar she went. A nice older gentleman brought the drinks and went to let the waitress/bartender know we wanted an update on our order mind you by this time it had been an hour. She came to the table with an attitude and then proceeded to tell us that it was a concert night and we should have come in earlier in the day. Mind you we had already been there for about hour and she never checked the table. The guy working the section next to ours checked his tables regularly and she went to the other tables but never came back to ours. It’s obvious she couldn’t do both bartend and wait tables and her stank attitude made me never want to return. I understand that it was a concert night but your restaurant should be able to accommodate we were there 2 hours before and if you could not feed us then they should have said that when we walked in. It’s not like we ordered steak we ordered chicken wings catfish and salad. Damn I really wanted to enjoy this place but she ruined...
