TLDR: Delish coffee brewed well, don’t plan to sit in the front window on a sunny winter day. Of course, they coffee is amazing. It was a very well brewed cup. I had the choice of batch brewed or pour over, I chose the Ethiopian fresh pour over option and it was great. It came in a glass beaker and small cup so I could pour what I wanted and keep the rest hot, which it did very well. My wife got a cappuccino and it was truly delicious. The only problem was that we sat in the front window and on this cold sunny day, it got downright hot sitting there. The other tables were full, but even they were getting a lot of sun this time of year. If I had planned my seating better, it would have been an amazing place to hang for a while. Of course, the LaMarzocco machine is agorgeous blue.

If I could give a 0 I would. I've frequented this shop on multiple occasions and have had great experiences with kind prompt service. Today that was not the case. The barista who took my order was kind but the interaction I had with the owner was upsetting to say the least. I paid for my order, received a notification from my bank of the transaction ($13.07) going through, when the ipad was turned around for me to add tip/ signature there was a notification on their POS system of a canceled transaction. The barista I was working with had already stepped away so I requested assistance from another Barista (Kevin, who turns out to be the owner). The interaction started off very negatively, he walked over to the counter visibly annoyed. Kevin mentioned that they have problems with their POS system sometimes, I showed the transaction on my bank from "Blueprint" and asked if this was the name of the shop because I only knew it as HighLow. Kevin then begrudgingly says "I guess I have to comp your order, guess you're getting a free order. We're going to have to eat it" and continues to berate and belittle me through the entire interaction like I was purposely trying to trick him out of goods. At that point I still had the payment on my bank transactions, I wasn't going to take his word for it and pay again with the hope I wasn't charged twice. Especially with his behavior and attitude toward me. In the 5 minute interaction we had he mentioned me getting a free order and him having to comp my order over 10 times. "What's your order again? Since I had to comp it... Check your bank tomorrow, you didn't pay for the order it'll be back to you($13.07) by tomorrow" and on and on. He kept talking at me even after I completely disengaged. By the time the order was ready I was taking a phone call, he slides my order across the counter and says "Here's your free order" at this point I asked him "Can you stop?" grab the order and leave. When I called to make a complaint I found out Kevin was the owner. I mentioned I didn't appreciate how rude he was and the way he spoke to me in such a belittling way. He stated, "You just got a free order you could've just said thank you. Check your bank tomorrow, you just got a free order". I'm not going to engage and thank someone who is actively being negative and rude to me from the moment our interaction began. Especially over issues they're having with their system, I'm grabbing my order and leaving. My suggestions; get your POS system figured out, in the meantime don't take out your frustration on your patrons, don't offer "free" goods if you're going to be rude...

Unfortunately, I can’t give 0 stars... The staff was very rude! I am visiting family in STL and I attempted to work from this cafe for the day... complete failure! Instead, I felt very uncomfortable from the moment I entered. I was stared down by the workers. Though awkward, I decided to try this place, plus I needed to get work done. I walked to the counter to place my order and was met with a very nasty attitude from the tall blonde guy. He had asked me for my vaccination card. I was baffled by the poor attitude he was giving... also, 1. no one else was asked, I was the ONLY one asked... 2. The cashier assumed I didn’t have a card nor a negative test so he cancelled my order then rudely said, “bye”. The attitudes were completely unnecessary and piss poor. Needless to say, I decided to leave and not spend my money with them. You all need better customer service, and maybe a training on biases. Especially seeing as you are working in a neighborhood with very mixed...

Disclaimer: I drink almost exclusively black coffee and espresso, so I can't speak to anything else served here.

The coffee here is excellent and I suspect it would be tough to find better. This is the kind of coffee shop I'd take someone to if I wanted to show them how good coffee can be. I had a cup of their Ethiopian blend and a double shot of their espresso. The espresso was good, only a slight bitterness to it with very pleasant acidity. But the drip coffee was the real star of the show. It is a very bright and clean cup with lots of fruity notes. If you are a real coffee nerd, you won't be dissatisfied.

As for the other things: the atmosphere is great and they have plenty of seating, I didn't interact much with the staff but they were clearly very knowledgeable about the product they serve and were friendly enough. Overall, it's a great shop, and if I lived in the area, I would...
