Kung Fu Tea — Restaurant in St. Matthews

This is my second time writing a review and while their boba tea is delicious, the service is not so great. The employees overall are okay, the other employee that does well at the cashier is the GM as he is delightful and informative. The other employees really should be more helpful and enthusiastic about this fun drink they offer. The first review I left was about the service the cashier provided me, which was TERRIBLE, she was rude and rolled her eyes in front of me several times. Yesterday, I planned a trip to the mall specifically for a boba tea for my family members. This is not the first time that I was informed that they were out of tapioca pearls. This is probably the third time I have been told that near closing time (it was 5:15PM last night when I came to place an order). I find it hard to believe that they were out of pearls as I used to be the bar manager at Simply Thai for 5 years and served boba tea drinks there, tapioca pearls are tiny and do not require a ton of storage space. Now if this had been the first time I had been told they were out of tapioca I may buy into the fact that they were truly out, but this is the third time I have been told this in less that a month and near closing time. If you offer a service with a top seller (TAPIOCA PEARLS) you need to be prepared to offer this until close and possibly consider who your employees are if they are not fulfilling their job as an employee. On their menu they have taro milk under seasonal special which says from Oct to Mar, since it's only April, I asked if they still have that. A girl with glasses and curly hair helped me order. She said yes they do have. so I ordered taro milk with pudding(which is extra .75). When I got the receipt it says "taro milk tea with pudding" so I went back to confirm, at first the girl said it always says taro milk tea on the receipt. I told her I don't want tea in the drink since I want a caffeine free drink. She then told me all their taro milk has tea in it. I showed her the menu which shows that those are two different items. She then called another guy to come help. They began to look at the menu as it is their first time and told me it is a seasonal thing. I said that's why I asked you the first thing before I ordered. Then they asked if I want any other drink instead. I asked for original wow milk with pudding. The girl was taking to the guy "I don't even know we have taro milk" and the guy said " I don't know either"????? Can you please get familiar with your own menu before you working here??? The girl finally gave me my drink with an attitude, without calling my number and just let it sit there. And I got the drink without pudding in it!!!! Very awful experience. Won't...

We are currently at this location and have been refused service.

The manager initially stated that they ran out of ingredients and could not make our order, although we had not yet requested any particular drink, so there was no way to know what ingredients our drink would r Meanwhile, there was a edit family with fresh drinks from this establishment and they were standing around drinking them.

There was another young lady who was waiting for them to finish making her drink as well.

I asked her how was it that we could not get drinks, but others were enjoying theirs.

She then admitted that she simply wanted to close early and had taken her last customer.

This was disappointing because it was only 740pm and the mall doesn’t close until 8pm as well as this location.

She did not show any remorse for this inconvenience and did not apologize or offer any concessions.

Due to this negative experience, I do not feel valued as a customer as certainly will not return to this...
