I moved to Steamboat around 3 years ago, and ever since I moved, the one thing I thought this town was missing was good boba. I tried 720 Fusion Fresh and Talay Thai's boba and honestly, didn't really like it, it was hard and didn't give me the same satisfaction of texture and taste that I was looking for. I love 720 Fusion's sushi and Talay Thai is a great thai place if you are looking for one (Mai Thai is also great), but good boba was the one thing I found to be missing from this town. I came here with high expectations based on the other reviews I was seeing, let me tell you, it blew me away. I think my soul left my body for how happy I was. I also tried their lychee jelly snack which was amazing as well. I go to Sharetea everytime I am in Denver because it has amazing boba, and I was upset that I couldn't find any good boba here in Steamboat. I got the Tiger Tea and my friend got the Pink Peach Tea. He said it was amazing, and my tea was so delectable and the boba fresh and delicious. I also split tried some of my friend's waffles on a stick. They were the best form of waffles either of us have ever had. I will absolutely be returning here as often as possible. Not to mention the amazing and personal customer service, and chill atmosphere perfect for any age group. All in all, out of all the boba places I have ever been (3 years and 50+ boba drinks later) this is up there, it was amazing. This place has made my day, my week, and my year. Thank...
Read moreCauseway is a great coffee and Boba shop in downtown Steamboat Springs. Located on a quiet block just off main street, this family owned and operated gem is worth finding. They make all their coffee drinks with local Seedhouse Coffee, which is some of the best coffee I've ever had, it's locally roasted and delicious. Their coffee and Boba tea drinks are creative and made with quality ingredients and love. They have delicious baked goods, gluten free items, and decadent waffles on a stick with or without sausage. Kids love the popping Boba, brown sugar Boba and fruit jellies that can all be customized in your drink of choice. The staff is incredibly friendly and love giving recommendations or talking about the newest recipe. They have shaded outdoor seating in the summer and plenty of different seating inside, including private rooms upstairs for meetings or groups. This is one of Steamboat's most loved coffee shop locations, and this new owners' version might be my favorite in 20 years! Definitely check them out when you are in...
Read moreIn my opinion it's the best coffee shop in Steamboat. Boba is a nice addition. Lots of seasonal drinks on the menu, although they'll make them all year round, so long as you know what you're asking for.
There's a limited menu of sandwiches. They also have some nice pastries. Dietary restrictions aren't catered to very thoroughly.
Downstairs seating is limited, although they did a good job maximizing space. There's more seating upstairs. Outdoors they have a pleasant, fairly secluded yard.
Service is very friendly. Clientele is a varied mix of high school kids, locals and tourists.
Obviously, it's Steamboat and it's 2025, so it's not cheap. That said, they've got a pretty good loyalty program and there's a secret password that gets you 10% off, but you'll have to figure that out...
