I recently had the pleasure of dining at Outback Steakhouse, and I must say that the experience was truly outstanding, largely thanks to our waiter, Devon. From the moment we walked in, Devon greeted us with a warm smile and a genuine enthusiasm that immediately set the tone for the evening.
Devon's knowledge and passion for the menu were evident as he expertly guided us through the extensive options. He patiently answered all our questions and provided insightful recommendations based on our preferences. His attention to detail was remarkable, ensuring that each member of our party had a memorable dining experience.
Throughout the evening, Devon's professionalism and attentiveness were truly commendable. He consistently checked on us to ensure that our drinks were filled, and he made sure that our food was cooked to perfection and delivered promptly. Read moreEating out is simply overpriced and underwhelming or disappointing these days. The poor wait staff is severely overworked. The initial reopenings after COVID began resulted in most of the restaurants being mostly empty because there was very minimal wait staff. We have now transitioned to the point where the restaurants are just trying to fill the space with customers even though there isn't enough wait staff to handle them. So you take service that was already poor because younger people don't take pride in their work anymore and those who manage them have let expectations slide and make it even worse by overworking those paltry few who do show up to work so they can't possibly maintain standards.
Our waitress was nice and trying but she was overworked. The wait for the food order was EXCEPTIONALLY long. All 3 of the steaks were overcooked, 2 of them by A LOT (asked for medium & received EXTREMELY well done). The only reason mine was fine was because I prefer med-rare so I always ask for rare (unless I'm at a high-end steak joint). My steak had portions ranging from rare to medium. It was fine although 1/3 of it had almost no seasoning and the other 2/3 was caked with excessive amounts of seasoning.
Two of us ordered a draft beer, the same beer. We received different beers so, out of the 4 beers we ordered (all ordered the same) one was the wrong beer. Taste aside, you could tell they were different by looking at them. Again, I wouldn't expect our waitress to be able to notice something like that because she didn't have time to. She just picked them up once the bar tender had finally poured them & ran them to us.
Look, the younger generation has some shortcomings but where we find ourselves today isn't really their fault. Restaurants as a whole have become such a disaster because they aren't being managed well. This restaurant is no exception. The list of places to eat that won't likely disappoint you is getting smaller and smaller...

It's our usual Wednesday night date night and we figured hey let's go to Outback since we haven't been in about 3 years or so.I will have to say this was one of the best decisions for date night we have made in a while!
To start off the waitress (Brittany) was absolutely amazing! She treated my wife and I like family and felt really warm and inviting! I asked her a lot of questions about the food and she was able to answer them all very honestly.
To start we ordered an appetizer of the Aussi cheese fries. Wow was this order huge! This single order of cheese fries was enough to feed a table of 4 or 5 easily. They tasted just like normal cheese fries so nothing crazy, but not bad either.
I ordered half rack of ribs with steakhouse Mac and cheese and loaded mashed potatoes. My ribs were slightly over cooked but we're good flavoring, my loaded mashed potatoes were good nothing amazing but not bad, and my steakhouse Mac and cheese was meh... The Mac and cheese was very inconsistent in flavor, a few bites tasted amazing and others tasted like I was eating plain noodles with some dry tasting cheese.
I also ordered an appetizer of the twisted ribs to come along with my meal so my wife and I could taste them. These things were AMAZING 🤩! But for $10.99 only getting 4 rib bones was kind of a joke, but again the flavor was on point!
My wife ordered an 8oz sirloin with loaded baked potato and seasoned rice. The steak was cooked perfectly to med well (the way the Mrs like it cooked) and was very well seasoned. The baked potato was good nothing special and not bad, and the seasoned rice was great!
All in all everything was great on this visit and we will be returning...
