Not very accommodating. Not really toddler friendly. I love some mellow mushroom... just moved to this location and was finally able to stop in. I was excited. Over all everyone was very friendly, I’ll give you that. But I was still super disappointed in the overall service. Bailey served us. Not sure if she is new or not. Sweet girl, but could use some retrain. Service was mildly slow for it to be a Sunday and only about 6-8 other customers in the store.
My son is just a year and doesn’t have enough teeth or the skill to eat apple slices. He is also still drinking from a bottle, so I came with a prepped bottle for after his meal. I asked the server if there was something I could get instead of the apples and drink with the meat ball meal I chose for my son. Without hesitation she said no and offered for me to pay for a second child’s meal in order to get a second food choice....-_- I was not about to pay $12.00 to feed a 1yr 2 meatballs and maybe a spoonful of macaroni or something. (Instead of apple slices maybe consider offering applesauce for those under 3).
To make matters worse, we saw a couple come in after us, eat and leave all before our food was served. To make the matter even more painful... my kid’s food came out after my food, so by the time his food came... I had already fed him snacks and gave him his bottle because he was too fussy. He ate half a meatball... after saying something, the manager was nice enough to take the item off our tab. She mentioned new staff in the kitchen and learning. I can totally understand that. I worked in a kitchen I get it... I am not even really bothered by that part honestly.
It was slightly discouraging to see the manager also quickly offer two other tables accommodations for issues they had with their orders. So many mistakes and unhappy customers. Instead of giving away freebies so often, I think retraining staff will save the company a lot of money in free food.
Back to my point, the food was good. The manager was quick to fix tab, but I was just super disappointed that the server was not willing to think outside the box or even attempt to accommodate my toddlers Unique needs as far as food he could actually eat was concerned, even after I only wanted one of the 3 items that came in the kids meal... nor was she willing to charge me less for the error (so I was only paying for what I ordered and not apples and a drink too). She didn’t offer to ask a manager to see if someone was willing to work with me... she simply told me no and offered for me to pay for another full kids meal in order to get a side that my toddler could eat. Lastly, I had to take my payment method to the front desk myself because we waited for like 10 mins ( with a tired fussy baby) for her to come back around to pick up the receipt. She checked out 2 others and disappeared for a while before I just took care of it myself. The MM in Raleigh was always very accommodating. Probably won’t be back Here until my son is old enough to eat a pizza on his own. please consider heavily adding some training development...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would! I will never return this location again!! I had a horrible experience here last night. My sister and I went in specifically for a half and half pizza we’d had a few weeks before, and it was so good I had been thinking about it since. We did experience issues then, but the manager was so polite and nice about it so we decide to give it another chance. We opted on take out. So I called the order in prior to making the drive. I would’ve ordered online but it doesn’t give you the option to add, or remove toppings to the pizza I wanted. I ordered half super pepp add Italian sausage, half holy shiitake add feta. I also got a strawberry limeade. My sister went in to get it, and when she came out I immediately tried my drink. I instantly noticed it wasn’t right. It was fizzy and flavorless, it tasted like sparkling water and this drink was not that the last time I had it. I went in myself to explain my situation, and the server was apologetic and she went to get the manager. I explained the same thing to the manager and she was apologetic at first but then she noticed the cup was full and her energy and attitude changed. She said to the server um this isn’t supposed to be full. If a customer doesn’t want ice it should be about this much in it. She brought her hand all the way down to show where it should be (which wasn’t even half btw.) I said I’ll pay for an additional drink just for it to be full no problem. (I just didn’t want ice watering down my drink.) She said she’d have it remade but when it was brought back out it wasn’t any better. It wasn’t fizzy this time. It just didn’t taste right. Definitely wasn’t the same drink I’d had before. It wasn’t good at all! I asked for a refund because I knew I wasn’t going to drink it. Why waste $10 (because I paid extra) of my money on a drink I wasn’t going to enjoy right?! The server was apologetic again and went to get the manager again. She came back I explained it wasn’t the same and I just want a refund. The manager said it is, I watched them make it. I again stated it doesn’t taste the same to me. She wasn’t apologetic this time, she got so rude and nasty and took the drink from me and threw it in the trash so aggressively saying what a waste! She didn’t look my way or say anything else to me. She made me feel as if I had done something wrong or as if I’m lying! The server came back and apologized again and gave me my receipt. I hate when I patronize a business and when something goes wrong at no fault of mine they act as if I caused the issue?! Why would I go through all of that? And my pizza was not good either! It wasn’t made right, barely had any toppings or cheese! I didn’t even eat it! In the managers words, “what a waste”! Again I will not return to this location and I will tell anyone I know about my experience, and to stay away! It just didn’t sit right with me. Good customer service and simply being polite goes a long way. I wasn’t even going to post a review but it’s been on my mind all night....
Read moreI get carry out at Mellow Mushroom regular, however, I am not pleased with my most recent purchase. I ordered a custom pizza that wasn't built correctly and the steak & cheese I ordered had no cheese at all on it. To add insult to injury the takeout order took almost 50 minutes and when I inquired about the time all they kept saying was that the potato spuds, i.e. tater tots weren't ready. I gave them two stars but to be honest with you based on their latest performance and product quality that was being generous. I spend between $50 & $75 dollars on every visit but I don't know if I will go back if they can't do a better job in the future. July 8, 2020 After ordering my pizza and waiting 40 minutes for it to be ready, the large looked more like a deformed medium. I have spent a good deal of cash at this establishment monthly and I thought that I would give them another chance but this time the service actually was worse than before. Sorry to say but I've completely lost my confidence in this particular franchise of Mellow Mushroom and I will not be back. They say a picture is worth a thousand words and this pie is supposed to be a large funky Q chicken pizza, however, it's pretty funky if you ask me. When I called it to the manager's attention she responds that all their pizzas were hand tossed. I think that the person who tossed that dough needs to study basket weaving and leave the pizza making to the professional high school students with IQ's above room temperature. If this sounds harsh it is meant to. I would never send that quality work out of my business and expect a customer to pay their hard earned...
