I planned places I could get a good vegan meal before even setting off for Mystic. Karma Kitchen was high on my list. The service was okay, nothing to write home about. And the atmosphere is that of a 50s diner with loud noise coming from the kitchen. I was looking forward to the food based on reviews. I ordered the Chickpea & Mushroom Marsala. It was so salty I felt as though I was drying out the entire day after having it for lunch. The sauce was too liquid, too. Nothing was added to thicken it at all. I recommend trying something different unless you can ask them to adjust the amount of salt they use. Overall I would return again to try something different on the menu because the prices are the best in Mystic.

I really wanted to love this place because I like juice bars with vegan options. The service was a bit slow and the staff seemed a bit out of sorts/spacey. They have good options on the menu but they are heavy handed on the salt. The black tea is a special blend and not what most people are used to. I had the Thai wrap which was good albeit a little salty with the dressing. My uncle enjoyed his egg salad wrap and my aunt got a salad that had pure sea salt dressing (it was that salty) and carrot bacon which again was too salty. If I ever came back I'd stick with a smoothie or acai bowl as they might be better at those.

The food and staff at Karma Kitchen are awesome. I love having so many thoughtfully prepared vegetarian options, but they also have vegan and meat options too. If you enjoy mushrooms, you have to try the vegan chickpea + mushroom marsala, even if you aren't vegan. It's full of flavor! My other favorite is the Thai veggie wrap. The Thai peanut dressing is seriously addicting, I would probably eat rocks if they were coated in it! Enjoy supporting this locally owned small business, you'll be glad you did!

I ordered a green medley 12OZ from karma kitchen. They told me to wait for 10-15 minutes, so I went out for a short walk around Holme street and set my Apple Watch timer to 10 minutes. When I came back around 12 minutes later, they served my green medley drink to a customer after me, then gave me my order 2 minutes later, which was fine. I do not mind they served their customers in the wrong order since I was on vacation and was not in a hurry. However the green medley, with a price tag $8.00 plus $1.00 tip, tasted like water. It appeared that they rinsed the order with water they made previously and served me. I am going to request a refund from my credit card company for the dissatisfied good this merchant provided to me. This is a very dishonest business. I am from Manhattan New York, I am a regular juice bar customer, I know how a green juice should be like. So be careful when you order from this place.

Additional information, the merchant replied promptly, I appreciate it. One more point, the juice machine mentioned in their reply was not visible to customers because its back faces customers, not like most juice bars have their materials and machines completely exposed to their customers. Therefore, I did not see what they put in. To be fair, I can take the statement about cucumber in the juice. I should have gone back to request a remake. Nevertheless, the green juice I had from this place was...

I return to this spot year after year for one reason: the food. The bowls, wraps, and juices are consistently fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. If the quality weren’t so high, I wouldn’t go out of my way to keep coming back.

That said, the customer service leaves much to be desired. On more than one occasion, I’ve stood at the counter for several minutes without so much as a glance or greeting. The young staff often seem to go out of their way to avoid eye contact or basic acknowledgment, which feels both awkward and unnecessary. I’m not expecting a grand welcome—just a simple, timely confirmation that someone will take my order.

There have also been small but noticeable quality slips, like receiving a box of chip crumbs rather than actual chips—twice. If you’re out, just say so. Don’t assume I won’t notice once I’m on the go.

The atmosphere can also be overwhelming. The constant blender noise is understandable, but occasionally, loud music or abrupt banging from the kitchen adds a chaotic energy that borders on hostile.

Still, the food remains excellent, and for that reason alone, I continue to return. I just wish the overall experience reflected the same care and attention that clearly goes...

Usually love this place - great healthy foods HOWEVER when I wanted a fresh made juice I was presented with a very dismissive attitude - first being told they couldn’t do it , then told to buy the expensive large glass bottle they made YESTERDAY, then told they could do it but it would take 10 minutes- there was no one in front of me in line and the store was almost empty. I wanted a fresh juice and the response seemed rather gaslighting making me the problem - how surprising one would come into a juice bar wanting a fresh juice ! I normally don’t write reviews but hoping the owner might see this and make adjustments , it was odd and definitely not good for business . This was the second time this happened - (had to get day old bottled juice very expensive )but this time was the worst...
