The only reason I gave you at least 1 star is because of the worker Charlie that came to my family's rescue.
Its busy, we get it. Its Covid-19, trust me, we get it. However, your professionalism and God given common sense is warranted in every position you take.
Family of 5, big order of course. Sent straight to the reserved spot #2. Understandable. Moments later another car pulls into reserved spot #1. They sent out our food with a manager, no less, that takes our food to the car in reserved spot #1. I immediately see the driver shaking her head, No. Its apparent that's now their order but ours. The black shirt employee insisted and proceeded to hand the order to the driver who thens shuffles her hand through the bag to make sure it's her order. Hands on fries, burgers, and condiments. The driver then folded the bad and handed it back. Now the black shirt Macdonald employee walks over to reserved spot #2 to deliver the order. What would have been your response if you just witnessed a total strangers hand amongst the very next things that was to fed to your children and your spouse?
I guess he saw the frustration on my face and automatic discomfort. My dissatisfaction was apparent. So he states that he will redo the order. That's fine. But he takes the bag back.
Moments later another employee comes out with a bag. Supposedly our order, this is Charlie. Very nice apologetic and professional. But he has common sense. He asked after giving us the meals, wheres your beverages? He went back and got out 2 medium drinks and the milkshake. And then again after realizing 3 kids in the car with Happy meals but they dont have their beverages, ran back in to retrieve their apple juices. Thank you Charlie.
The point is. We paid for a service (over $40 worth) and it was handled and provided with little to no thought to my family. Your mission, we know is to keep that conveyer belt going. That's why we were pushed to that reserved spot. But be mindful. Have common sense. Why would you have happy meals in your hand and not notice the kids with excitement, jumping for joy? When the other car is just adults? What about the look of disappointment coming from them when you took their happy meals to another person insisting to give them our order.
We did not eat what we ordered. We went elsewhere blowing $40 in a meal that we felt was compromised by a complete stranger and will not trust that McDonald's had our best interest in mind by completely making a new order over. They got this one but will never get it again. Hence 1 star to Charlie for...
Read more3 strikes. 3 visits on 3 separate occasions. 3 months apart. That is about how often I allow myself to eat this stuff. This location seems to have a culture that is not amicable towards the customer. There must be some sort of management problem at this location because the McDonalds on N 9st East Stroudsburg has consistently gotten the orders wrong. Food cold and off flavor too. Clearly not paying attention, never asking customers to repeat themselves if the employee does not understand fully and will simply walk away from customers while they are speaking or asking for something or about the order they received. This location is lucky that there is not many other mcdonalds around however since if another mcdonalds opens within an equal distance this area then the sales will fall. If I am thinking it, then many others are too. Just give locals another choice and see what goes down. I did call and notify the manager the time before today when my order was far from the right thing (got home with a big mac instead of 20 pc nuggets although they did include the mustard sauce and sure, they told me to come in they would fix it. who wants t drive back?) but today is what prompts the 1 star. (I never followed up for replacement stuff they owed me). Today, a month later, the guy at the 2nd window with the "here is your food jack--" face nearly tosses the bag and runs away although I was asking a question; he had such a scowl. The girl with the purple hair was taking the money and the guy at second window has a beard. 2/7/23 about noon. The point is that if you are going to be cocky at least be good at your job because you got the order wrong again man. What I was saying was...while you ignored me was..."you sure you got the order right?" I'll answer that for you: Nope, ya didn't. it is only mcdonalds...not such a big deal but I don't want to see others get ripped or...
Read moreWent there with a group- everyone who ordered after me got their food first since I didn't use one of the screen things. One of the girls working was super sweet but I had to wait for a while since my order kept getting pushed back. After I ordered the cashier left and I grabbed a cup since I didnt get one yet & wasnt sure if i was supposed to get one but payed for my meal and drink already. When my order was finally ready another lady at the register went to hand me a cup and I said “Oh thank you-I already got one, I hope that was okay” and the lady said, “No its not-dont do it again.” I understand how it can be irritating with customers “helping themselves” to things but I was waiting for a while, but did NOT go behind the counter (the cups were right there and they never said anything about my drink, so I wasnt sure what to do, but everyone was busy and there was no one to help/answer my question about it. Another customer had to flag down a worker to ask to place his order since they were seemingly understaffed. The food was good, but there just aren’t enough people to effectively help out at the window and inside the restaurant. Customer service was iffy. Tough industry to work in (I understand since I work with customers all day)but even in these situations customers dont know what to do and I think they could have done...
