Benvenuto Pizza & Italian restaurant — Restaurant in Stroudsburg

I just got a delivery 04/18/2020 I ordered through their web page which took me to slice to do transaction food came really quick left at door they called me as soon as he left it there OMG the food is amazing!!! cold food cold and hot food hot, But the best part is it was both fresh and delicious I mean really really tasty. Thank you for some great food especially at these troubling times. I will not only make benvenuto my go to for italian food but you should too. this was my first time eating from here this is what we got sausage and mushroom pizza, now true disclosure I prefer the sausage on pizza to be crumbled but theirs are sliced but it tasted so good that after that first bite I didn't care that it wasn't crumbled sausage LOL also had meat stromboli, ital hoagie/sub, cheese steak, manicotti with sausage on the side came with salad and garlic bread for I think $14.95 , also ordered garlic knots, and one of the best cannolis I have ever had OMG The portions where excellent one might even say huge a real bang for the buck!! When Benvenuto's first opened we ordered Butter Garlic Wings & Pizza so so good! Very impressed.

Second time ordering, got the same thing. When we got home I realized we only had onions and peppers on our pizza, but we ordered sausage and peppers. I called just to let them know of the mix up and wasn't sure if they accidentally gave us the wrong pizza. The man on the phone replied "What do you want me to do about it?" Wrong response. To be fair later in the conversation he said next order he would give me a free topping. I wasn't looking for anything and as an owner/manager you should have the answers on how to fix the problem.

Forward a few weeks, same order butter garlic wings & pizza. The wings were not the same quality, and they were swimming in a half a stick of butter with 2 whole garlic cloves. Also, I requested Ranch & got BC.

Case in point the product is not consistent and sub par. The good is they're open till 3am on weekends and have a variety of items on their menu. Probably won't go back, but...

My friends and I stopped at Benvenuto after several hours of hiking in the Delaware Water Gap park. It's a small pizzeria on a fairly busy street. There's plenty of indoor seating and available meter parking on the street. The service was okay and the staff seemed friendly enough. We got a few garlic knots to share and everyone got some slices. The garlic knots were superb and very flavorful and fluffy. The sauce was also very good. The pizza, however, could have been better. There was a clear over-reliance on oregano and Italian seasoning to cover the lack of flavor. The base wasn't very crispy and seemed slightly undercooked and gummy. The pepperoni was oily and wasn't really great (but perhaps I'm just used to more crispy, spicy pepperoni). The crust lacked imagination and flavor, not being well defined as crispy nor fluffy.
