We stopped at this adorable cafe after visiting Bushkill Falls. The place is closed for indoor seating-only outdoor seating and carry out available. The outdoor area has 3 tables only. You have to call the number posted on the door to place and order and the food will be delivered to you via a window. At first, we were a little bit irritated due to a long wait time (took about 45 minutes to get 4 sandwiches). However, we soon realized it was a one man show! We had an opportunity to speak to the owner, who in fact, is the person answering the phone, taking orders, making all the food and cashing you out. Our hearts went out to him! You can tell he is very passionate about his shop and the food he serves. He shared with us it is impossible to find help and he is doing all of it by himself. I've witnessed over a dozen of people leave after realizing there is wait time. I do have to say everything was DELICIOUS! 100% worth the wait. The sandwiches were amazing and the home made ice cream was to die for. Please be a little patient-you never know what these business are going through. We will be back if we're in...
Read moreMy family and I stopped by for a quick meal, thinking we could be in and out in 30 minutes and continue on our way, but it took about 45 minutes to get our food, which is hard to understand given that the place wasn't busy and their menu is simple cafe food.
The atmosphere was pretty grim. Strangely, the lights were off, and since it was around dusk, the whole place was unusually dark. There was no music or background noise in the building, so our table didn't feel like it had any privacy.
And our food wasn't good. My sandwich just didn't sit right in my stomach. My wife ordered what she thought was a chicken salad, but what came out looked like a huge plate of nachos. I think they brought us what my wife ordered, but the wording of the menu was confusing.
I see that Sweet Creams has a lot of positive reviews. I don't understand why. To their credit, I think Sweet Creams was undergoing some kind of soft re-opening when we visited, so maybe they weren't ready...
Read moreWent to visit this place for dessert after eating dinner at another place. I went there because they have a sundae on the menu called the Misty Cristy which intrigued me. The blonde girl behind the counter said she never heard of it. I explained I just saw it on the menu they have online. She said I must have the wrong place. I pulled it up as it was still loaded and showed her. Yup, I’m at the right place. I told her she might mention it to her boss so they can update it. She said he’s old and probably doesn’t know how. How rude. I gasped and she looked at me realizing that since I was an obvious “old guy” myself she just insulted me as well. I hope this blond girl isn’t the same one mentioned in Greg Pop’s review that he gave about a year ago. If she is, you get a double zero for keeping her...
