Food was good, but the service was extremely unprofessional. While I was ordering my food, my two young daughters walked over to one of the booths to sit down. To our surprise, we noticed that it had a “Reserve” seating sign (due to social distancing). Before I could even think or move, the manager (Taller African American male) came over and mumbled/yelled something at us and then yelled at staff behind the counter to pay attention and , “someone go sanitize the table” When I realized what he was talking about, it took all my power to not just get my refund and leave. I asked the girl behind the counter if that was really necessary but she acted like he does that all the time. I will not be going back there. The manager never came back to apologize...we literally ate and left. The 15 minutes we were there... he walked around and barked orders at his staff in front of customers waiting in line to get their food. Read moreA nice location and good food with one issue. Lately, any sandwich that includes bacon sees the bacon added as literally an afterthought. Think one strip for an entire club sandwich. I've tried selecting "extra bacon" and paid the hefty $1.75 up charge and guess what? No different. Basically a hint of bacon. I'm sure it is due to the location trying to save money OR poor kitchen discipline on making the sandwiches to standard. It's a shame since the food IS delicious, but it's feeling like Subway....all the sandwiches are beginning to taste the same. Can McAllister's bounce back? For information this has happened the last FIVE times I've ordered over the last two months. It's a systemic issue and I've decided to give them the chance to fix this. When the server told me they didn't have it, I asked they refund the money I was charged. She tried to take away my cheesecake. After I ate part of the cheesecake, I found out it was frozen. Waited for the manager to come out of the restroom. Turns out same guy that rang me up. How is it the manager has no idea they don't have carrot cake? And it's on the regular menu. Seriously?! Why would they charge me for cartot cake they don't have. He said he would refund the $12.
