This place is owned by a half Albanian/ half Italian. The inside is clean and the decor is pleasant. I love the wall with the Brooklyn bridge and reminds me of my time in NYC. the Albanian/Greek server was very helpful and pleasant to talk to. On her recommendation I ordered a half Brooklyn special and half chicken pesto. The Brooklyn special has almost everything on it and was my favorite. So many little bites that were full of flavor and texture. The crust was thin and crispy. Sauce was ok but the ingredients were the star. I would get this again. The chicken pesto was on the milder side. I think it’s meant to be this way. Nothing wrong with this pizza but it’s not my preference. I think I’d rather have something with more punch. I also ordered buffalo wings. Sauce was as expected. The wings weren’t overcooked where it comes out dry. Instead it was moist. I would get it again. Hawaiian had good flavors, pineapple was sweet, ham flavorful. I always like to have jalapenos for an extra kick. Funghi mushrooms were tasty. Onions weren’t sharp but actually sweet. Really good overall. Spaghetti marinara wasn’t bad. Meat sauce was tasty. Ordered with garlic bread and salad with Italian dressing. I appreciated that the Italian dressing was home made and quite tasty. Glad it wasn’t typical store bought dressing. Finally the owner came out to greet the customer and offered complimentary lemon cello. It was good. Moist, not too sweet and lemony. Finally there is a pizzeria I can go to Houston and is comparable to NYC.

I am born and raised in NY (Long Island). I give my stamp of approval for this chain having the authentic NY pizza flavor. In fact, it has the authentic old fashion taste more so than some places in NY that used to have the authentic old fashion NY pizza taste (as I found out on my most recent trip back to NY). If taking home, make sure the pizza stays flat, as cheese on authentic NY cheese pizza will slide if not completely flat. Had the same chain's pizza in corpus Christi and it was also the authentic taste. Finally, authentically flavored NY pizza in the Houston/Sugar Land area! Note: saw some reviews say the dough is chewy. well it's supposed to be chewy. that's the Authentic part for the dough. The cheese should also be slightly oily and it is as well.

We really enjoyed the food. The pizza was flavorful, and the crust was perfect and crispy. We absolutely loved it. The wings were good, standard lemon pepper, but could have used more seasoning. Salad was nothing impressive, a lot of romaine lettuce, but I liked the Italian dressing. I didn't take a photo of the mozzarella garlic bread because they rolled the bread in foil (ordered to-go), therefore, both sides were "sealed" together. The bread was VERY GOOD, even though we couldn't separate it. It was nice, garlicky, and the mozzarella was a great addition. The pizza was the star, of which it should be. We'll definitely visit again.

Jola at Brooklyn Pizza in Sugar Land is an exceptional employee who made our family dining experience truly memorable.

Her warm smile and welcoming demeanor set the tone for a fantastic meal from the moment we walked in.

What really stood out was Jola's incredible treatment of my dad. She showed exceptional patience and respect, speaking clearly and attentively to ensure she got his order just right. Her genuine interest in making him comfortable was heartwarming, and it brought a big smile to his face.

Jola's attention to detail extended to our whole family. Her menu recommendations were spot-on, catering to everyone's tastes and dietary needs. She took the time to explain different options and even suggested perfect pairings for our pizzas.

Throughout our meal, Jola's attentiveness was impeccable. She anticipated our needs, checking on our satisfaction at just the right moments. Her timing was perfect - never intrusive, always helpful.

What impressed us most was how Jola went above and beyond to make our family outing special.

Jola's positive energy and genuine care for customer satisfaction are truly commendable. She turned our simple pizza lunch into a joyful family event. Her exceptional service, coupled with her kind treatment of my elderly father, ensures that Brooklyn Pizza will be our go-to spot for pizza in Sugar Land.

Jola's ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for all ages, from kids to seniors, is a rare talent. Her friendly demeanor and professional service made everyone in our family feel valued and appreciated. It's employees like Jola who transform a casual dining experience into a memorable occasion, and we're grateful for her...

I would like to give an overall rating of 4.5 but can't do that in this form. We ate here for the first time yesterday and had a good overall experience. Definitely the service was good. The person taking orders was so very friendly and helpful. Even though she noted it was supposed to be self-service, e.g., bussing your own table when done like at a fast food place, she still said she would clean the table when we asked if we should do it (which we did). She also brought us metal knives (more below) to cut our pizza.

We ordered the BBQ NY Style pizza which we liked. It had plenty of chicken and bacon but was short on BBQ taste -- needed more BBQ sauce if any was on it at all. We ordered a large even for the 2 of us because we expected to take some home which we did (about half). I also ordered a house salad but it was quite plain. It was 95% lettuce with some olives slices and a couple of very thin slices of pepperoni. The menu says it came with a tomato wedge but I don't remember that. It could definitely be improved.

The place is very casual. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. While the salad came in a hard plastic bowl, we were given basic paper plates and plastic forks and knives. My wife and I like to cut our pizza and eat it with a fork rather than by hand because we eat more slowly that way. However, we couldn't cut the pizza with the thin plastic knives. We asked for metal knives which were then nicely provided. Another issue is that the size of the slices from our large-sized pizza hung off the small paper plate. Slices from an XL would definitely not fit.

We do plan to return and try the many other pizzas and items...
