This Panera Bread team is exceptional! Manager Stacy runs two lines out the door with only three staff members, showing true professionalism under pressure. Alia, Jalani, and Josh go above and beyond daily, while Tunisia keeps everything organized and upbeat. Despite being severely understaffed, the team works together with incredible camaraderie and dedication.
General Manager Masyn and Assistant Manager Jeremy lead by example, often filling multiple roles to keep service smooth. Frontline staff—Briana, Mayra, Cody, Cheyenne, Ellie, Faiz, Andrew, Raine, and Ray—provide consistent, friendly, and efficient service, even during peak hours.
They need more staffing!!! "Shock and Awe" The location of Panera Bread is a prime location located next to Wells Fargo and across from Whole Foods off the 6 next to the Freeway--there's a lot of traffic
Peak times are from 8 to 9AM and then 12 to 2PM and 5 to 6PM
Panera Bread the corporate is downsizing and what is difficult to understand without visiting this location is the location is severely severely understaffed (SHOCKING)!!
The ((AWE-inspring) great aspect of this establishment is the team camaraderie. As a regular that spends time at Panera because of church and family and friends I come during peak hours (aforementioned) and I've seen... There's understaffed unsung heroes that need more validation and recognition !
Masyn (who came back from serious surgery) to be the General Manager and I've seen him work multiple positions basically be the sixth man playing all positions in basketball and/or utility position in baseball being outfield, infield, pinch hitter, base runner, basically everything except pitching and catching !
Jeremy is the Assistant Manager and I've seen him at the front and the back and he's always instructing his team in a congenial convivial way on how to streamline the tremendous amount of orders online for catering and all the walk-ins and to-go's !
Briana--at the front--goes back-and-forth with orders and she's asking with courtesy and politeness for orders following-up with the kitchen staff
Additionally, Mayra at the front, has helped several times and she's always going back and forth with what's in-stock and the kitchen and the back freezer
Cody always smiles as he delivers the food and I've seen him even take breaks few and far between but always do it with a positive attitude!
Cheyenne and Ellie are sisters that work in the early mornings preparing food and work weekends as part-time and they've done their utmost with service as well as meeting patron satisfaction, which isn't easy nowadays!
Faiz always greets me and he's jovial and always happy! He gives me a hearty handshake which is not required but always welcome!
Andrew and Raine are always busy with orders, preparing food and entrees and it isn't easy especially during peak times
Ray is always here and he's always helping and following up on to-gos in-service and other orders and He's always smiling and helping everybody
The complaints of workers not getting orders right or the service not being fast enough and there is not enough supply are warranted because Panera Bread serves a population that gets three-to-five times the outflow in traffic and many people come in and refill beverages (that is not monitored or catalogued)
All in all, Sugar Land citizens also expect more and specialized itemization which adds to the difficulty level and customer service reviews which is unfair and unnecessarily unkind, not compassionate

Read moreThis restaurant has seriously gone down hill. Went into the restaurant 2 weeks ago on a Monday to pick up a breakfast sandwich to go. Placed and paid for my order and sat down on the bench to wait for my to go order. The screen which shows your name and status on your order was not working. Another lady and myself sat and waited. She said she had ordered a breakfast sandwich also. They finally after 22 minutes called her name. She got her meal and left. I sat there for another 8 minutes and got up and went to the counter by the kitchen. The waitress asked if she could help me, I said yes, I was wanting to find out what was taking so long on my order. She asked me my name, gave it to the cook and the cook said I had already picked it up. I said obviously not or I wouldn't be still sitting there. Another lady came into the back and told the cook I was not the person she had given the egg sandwich to. The cook got visibly mad and said she would have to make me another sandwich. I told her not to bother I would just get my money back. I walked up to the order counter and the young man who had taken my order asked if he could help me. I told him what had happened and that I wanted a refund. He said no problem, I laid my receipt down on the counter in front of him. This young lady walked up and said she would take care of me in just a moment and walked into the back. She came back to the front stopped in front of me for a second, said What do you want? I told her again what had happened. She turned and walked from that register (left my receipt laying on the counter) and went down to the third register. She says over the customers at the register between us. I need your receipt to give you a refund (how rude) it was laying in front of her where I the customer was standing. I asked her if the restaurant was under new management as the place wasn't cleaned up, employees were standing around visiting or on their cell phones. etc. She said yes she was the new manager and her name was Ashlan. I got my money back and left. The next morning I start looking for a phone number for Panera corporate office. Finally find it and call. I am told that they cannot give out the District Managers Contact Information. That they will forward my concern to that Manager and if they feel it warrants a response they will call me. Needless to say to date 14 days later I have yet to get a phone call. Will be taking my business elsewhere...

The food is WAYYYYY OVERPRICED especially considering how bad this place is ran. The food is SUBPAR AT BEST The Mac & Cheese is hardly Mac and hardly Cheese..mostly water The ENTIRE restaurant is a mess The fountain machines are always dirty and sticky The restrooms are disgusting, I've been to County hospitals that are wayyyyy cleaner than this!!! The service is SLOWWWWWW, there is only one cashier half the time and they always have to be doing other work while ringing up customers like making coffee drinks!!! This is NOT a one-time visit review. I've been visiting for the last few weeks doing remote work there. And I can say without a doubt that this restaurant is pure garbage; way overpriced, disorganized, understaffed, disgusting, not hygienic at all, and an embarrassment to have within the city of Sugar Land. I've been to restaurants off Harwin that run better than this place. I can understand now why so many people order to go there because who would want to eat there??? But still this place is overpriced, the portions are small and the quality sint there - so why are people still coming here??? REALLY...AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE?? IS THERE SOME SORT OF NOSTALGIA MOMENT IM MISSING HERE?? This place is depressing and it honestly feels like one of those movie theaters that people stopped going to so no one cares anymore.
