Smoothie King — Restaurant in Sugar Land

Been to this location several times. Place is always clean and we were greeted when we walked in which is always nice.

I ordered someting different today ( The Hulk ) and the taste was off. It was ok, but not great - I can’t specifically say what’s bad about it, but just doesn’t taste right / unbalanced.

My wife ordered a coffee drink, but she said it was more chocolate flavored than coffee flavored.

Overall I like the Smoothie King products and I’ve been here more than once, but I can’t give them 5 stars on this trip.

Update: The taste got much better as I continued drinking it. My guess is that whatever was on the bottom ( where my straw was at ) just wasn’t blended well and I was probably tasting the protein blend or whatever they put in it - but the taste got much better on the top part. So I mixed it good with my straw and that made a big difference.

I ordered 2 smoothie bowls. There were no other customers in line at the time I placed my order. The first bowl was made, then a second bowl was made. I was told that the second bowl was not mine. Apparently that was for a customer that came in after me. In the meantime, the first bowl is sitting out melting. It was 27 minutes that passed from the time I placed my order, until the second bowl was made. When I brought this to the manager's attention (Edgar) he indicated that they had gotten busy. I pointed out the issue with the second customer, he said that it was a mistake. Edgar was not there when I placed my order. Predictably the first bowl was melted (soupy) by the time I got it home. Also it was quite a bit smaller...

I always order the exact same smoothie everytime I go to this location and it was always perfect each time. Up until a month ago it was good but the past 2 times I've gone about 2 weeks ago and then this past week the smoothie was not the same at all. Last time it was wayyy too sweet then a few days ago it was bland, the lady was nice enough to remake it but then it tasted like it had way too much chocolate powder, I just left and will try out the sugarland location tomorrow. The service and people are always nice but idk if the recipes being followed or if its because its just different people making...
