🌟 A Day of Kindness at Torchy’s – Richmond, TX 🌟 June 27, 2025
Today, I was simply looking for a place to eat when I noticed Torchy’s Tacos in Richmond. As I pulled up, a sign caught my eye—“Pets Welcome.” My heart smiled. It meant my sweet companion Messiah and I had just discovered a new place we could enjoy together. That small sign was the first of many blessings.
When I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, genuine smile from Mariah—the kind of smile that instantly lifts your spirit. Then I noticed Amara, also smiling brightly. Their kindness was so real, so contagious. I felt peace. I felt joy. I thought to myself, “What a beautiful environment to be in.”
While fixing my drink, another team member brought my food—and she was smiling too! It was as if the whole space radiated love. Not just service… hospitality. Not just a meal… an experience.
As I made my way out, I saw a gentleman in a red shirt—I figured he must be the manager. I just had to say something. I told him how deeply blessed I felt by the energy and care shown by his team. That man was Christian Pike—and his spirit matched everything I had felt so far: warm, joyful, full of light.
Without hesitation, he said, “One moment,” disappeared to the back, and returned with a gift certificate—a blessing I never expected. I was speechless. I had come with the heart to give, but here I was, receiving.
As we spoke, I shared a little about Miracles R Real Outreach and the work we do in the community. Christian listened, smiled, and said something that took my breath away: “I want to bless your volunteers too.”
I left Torchy’s today with more than a meal—I left filled with gratitude, love, and a renewed faith in kindness.
And because love flows, I made my next stop at Advance Physical Therapy—and yes, they got blessed today too.
✨ Love. Kindness. Community. That’s everything. ✨ Thank you, Christian Pike and the incredible team at Torchy’s Richmond. Your leadership, your spirit, and your smiles have touched more people than you know—because kindness doesn’t stop. It spreads.
With a grateful ❤️ Yolanda Ford, Founder Miracles R Real...

2 - Trailer Park Tacos 2 - Chile and Pork Tacos 1 - Grande Burrito 1 - Chips/Salas
It took over 45 minutes to get this order. Unacceptable and can't believe Torchys believe this is acceptable for this location. All employees look like they hate being there and do not know what Customer Service is. When I walked back to the counter to ask for the status, I was asked for my receipt to confirm they put the order in.....Are you kidding me? Then was told, "They are wrapping it up" which took another 10 minutes at least. I saw multiple people in the kitchen so I don't understand why it took 45 minutes to get this order. It wasn't as if the restaurant was busy, only people were there were people at the bar and people waiting for their orders.
Then employee comes out and goes, "Here you go, order 51" no, that's not me, I am order 61 and still waiting..Oh, sorry Bro" - I am not your bro and where is my food.
Very unprofessional and emotionless customer service with a long wait time which is not worth the food.
It is safe to say, if you're not in a hurry and want cold food, come to Torchy's in Richmond. You won't be disappointed.
Also, I wasn't the only person that was fed up with the delay. 4 other customers waiting 25+ minutes and were getting upset. There is an issue here that needs to be fixed before this place can be decent in food/service.
And before the business owner asks, Yes, I went to torchysfeedback.com and put in my review since all I see in response is to fill out a feedback comment but nothing has changed.

Read moreI am not a huge fan of Torchys as it isn't really what I call Tex Mex. It is a hipster take on Mexican street tacos. Ive been to Torchy's several times to see if maybe Ill find something I like on the menu. They are a little pricey for fast food fare and I honestly haven't ever had fajitas that had zero flavor. It doesn't taste like anything I can think of. Is it pork? Is it beef? Texture is everything and fajitas need to have a grilled smokey flavor to them with seasoning - a little bit of pull when you bite. Their 'fajita' is simply bland, however the toppings are very flavorful enough to hide this fact. The fajitas don't taste like they are cooked fresh. The Democrat (barbacoa) has a little more meat flavor but the seasoning isn't what I expected - it's different and I couldnt figure out the flavorings. A generous amount of onion and cilantro, but the avocado slice and cotija are overkill imho. The best thing about traditional Mexican barbacoa tacos is the simplicity of slow cooked beef with tenderness and a simple garnish of onion and cilantro to taste. Their queso is made with white cheese with a scoop of guacamole in it. Overall, Torchy's had a great upbeat vibe, great service, but the food...
