Latin Bistro — Restaurant in Summit

I stumbled upon this cute little place this afternoon for lunch and I am so glad I did. We were a party of two at around 1pm. There were tables outside, but we chose to eat inside. We entered and were immediately greeted by very friendly and polite staff. The place is small, but in a cozy way. There were a few tables available, we were seated and given a menu. We had several questions and the staff was very knowledgeable and patient with us. We ordered the rice with shrimp and a steak with rice and beans, accompanied by yuca fries. The portions were very generous. Everything was served fresh and hot and was truly delicious. This is a place I would definitely recommend for authentic Latin cuisine at an affordable price. The food here is good. For the area it is locat d it is good. Compared to the other Hispanic restaurants located more up north jersey, the quality is just not the same. I don't blame them since it seems the community is a little scared of some seasoning but for the area it's really good. Great lunch special that comes with a soda. Great customer service and good environment. I usually get the baked chicken and white rice with beans special. Chicken is sometimes dry with light seasoning but again good. Love the Latin Bistro. You can get 5-star restaraunt quality food and down home customer service for a fraction of the price. The chicken francese is my go to dish. The chicken portion is humongous. Like two huge pieces of melt in your mouth pounded flat chicken breast topped with a deliciohs lemon butter sauce. You get two sides. I like the fries and salad without onions but the rice and plaintains are equally delicious. The pictures do not lie. This was how my food was presented.
