Craving authentic French baked goods and pastries without having to go through TSA? Glad to have found the perfect alternative—nearby, with all the charm and warmth of a visit to Paris or the French Riviera! So glad to have found St.Tropez Bistro and French Bakery right here in Sunny Isles. Perfect French baguettes, croissants, sandwiches, and a rare find: Parisian Flan along with truly delightful pastries. The coffee, of course, was excellent. Come meet the owners and practice your French. You will not be disappointed—and quite sure you will add this to your list of must-return to South Florida finds—as will I. A reminder: this place is trying to be truly authentic— if you have questions you might consider asking: reading some of the very few reviews that show some disappointment; the menu items are closer to how they are in France, not an Americanized version. I grew up surrounded by French cuisine and was thoroughly delighted with everything (and everyone) here. This place is run by and staffed by caring individuals alongside the French owners who clearly take tremendous pride in everything at their Bistro—as they should. The place is spotlessly clean, everything is meticulously organized. Overall, not an easy feat. The service was gracious. If I ever get less-than-perfect service here in the future, I imagine it’s because they would be swamped with customers. From the heart: a place like this should have customers lined up out-the-door; that’s one of the downsides to being so good. Just sayin’ …and I’d gladly tolerate that to see these wonderful people continue to succeed at their heartfelt endeavor. We need more of this down here. Additionally, plenty of free parking, easy to get to—and worth the drive if you’re a little...

Read moreI am local and have tried several times to find this place. It is totally hidden. So, park your car and get out to find it. It is hidden behind some stairs. You order standing up (a pet peeve for me) BUT they will serve you and clean up after you sit down. There is plenty of room to be comfortable. I ordered an omelette on a half of a baguette. Very plain, but good. It is served with a side of salad. I also had a cup of "American" coffee. Only one refill allowed I was told. Very reasonably priced!!! To go, I had a croissant with blueberries on top. It is filled with Chantilly creme. I also had a croissant with strawberries on top. That one was filled with jam. Owner told me he is French. A parent from Guadalupe and another parent from the south of France. Apparently, his wife makes everything. I wanted to try the French chocolate mousse. It was served in a type of Mason jar so I couldn't get it to go. I would like an uncharge to have been able to take it to go. I think they would have found me a container but I wasn't able to wait. Overall, I liked it. I don't know about sitting out front because there are a few tables there. I would be afraid of mosquitoes because it is a bit dark compared to not being behind a stairwell. I will be back to try more. Please...
