⭐️⭐️ (2/5)
I’ve been coming here for breakfast from time to time and was always satisfied in the past. After the recent renovation and expansion, Café Rosé has become bigger, more spacious, with stylish décor and very “Instagrammable” dishes beautifully presented. The atmosphere and interior are impressive. The food is generally good, except for the profiterole dessert.
Unfortunately, with the expansion, the quality of service has noticeably declined. Perhaps the ownership or management has changed. During my last visit, there was quite a strong confusion: the waiter mixed up orders, added extra items to the bill more than once, and there was a mix-up with Prosecco glasses. We ordered three, but somehow the bill showed five. Mistakes happen, and with a large group I understand a waiter can get confused. Different staff members may have added the same order more than once, but we ended up waiting over 40 minutes for a single glass. Still, in the end the bill showed five instead of three. Issues like this are the responsibility of management, who should be supervising and training their staff.
When we politely pointed out the mistakes, I expected a simple apology, correction of the bill, and for the manager to address the matter with the team privately, outside of guests’ presence. That would have been normal team management. However, the manager, Christin, returned to us saying he had video footage proving otherwise. When we asked him to show it, he couldn’t — which felt dishonest and left a very negative impression.
We often hold Friday breakfasts with a psychologist in different cafés, and service quality is key for us. That’s why I sincerely recommend the owners focus on training and staff management. The place has huge potential, and it would be wonderful if the experience here left only pleasant memories.
But apparently, that will be for other customers — as we were leaving, manager Christin told us: “You are not welcome at this place anymore.” 🤣💔
This whole situation could have been avoided with better management awareness and professionalism. It also would have helped if the bills had been separated at the beginning, since with big parties it is much more convenient to split checks (a very basic feature of most restaurant software).
In any case, I truly wish this place growth and success. And I recommend future guests double-check their bills, since staff mistakes are possible.
⚠️ Attention Customers & Restaurant Management ⚠️
This restaurant is automatically charging 18% “service charge” without any notice on the menu or website. In the bill, it is unclear how this charge is calculated, and sales tax is added on top of the service charge — which is not permitted under Florida law if the funds are truly distributed to staff.
👉 According to IRS rules, service charges are not tips — they are classified as wages and must be taxed and properly paid to employees. If owners are keeping these funds while also charging sales tax, it raises serious concerns of fraud, tax evasion, and wage theft.
Customers should double-check their bills. Employees should be aware that these charges may not be reaching them as wages. And owners should know: this practice could trigger IRS audits and...

Food: We had the Mediterranean Brunch. No flavor, bland, didn't enjoy it. Croissant basket was meh. It's certainly not cheap but price is average for similar cafes in the area.
Service: We thought they were extra attentive at first until our group conversation was interrupted every 10 mins by different waiters checking on our table. We had to wait a bit for the food, but that was ok as we were all in good company. However, once we got the food they kept asking us if everything was ok (about 12 times per my count by different people). And when we actually needed something (condiments), it took several waiters for one of them to get it correctly and bring what we asked. We felt EXTREMELY RUSHED with them checking our table and asking us so often. Not sure if it was their intention or something had happened related to their service that prompted them to ask like that, but if you see a group eating and having a fluid conversation, please don't interrupt if you clearly see we got everything we need, we'llcall you. Maybe we made the mistake of seating too close near the waiters station. It ruined the whole experience for us tbh.
Ambience: Lovely decor, very aesthetic, instagrammable, lovely pictures but not enough for us to come back,...
