Zero respect for customers – money over service!
This studio has no convenience, no respect for customers – just penalties and ridiculous policies. I got unlimited membership for 285$ a month. Booking a class is nearly impossible. After signing up for a membership, I opened the app and saw that the first available class was two weeks away – meaning I was already halfway through the month with no access to what I paid for.
The waitlist system is a joke – you can get bumped into a class at any moment, with just a one-hour notice, yet you can only cancel penalty-free if it’s at least two hours in advance. If you don’t check the app constantly, you get charged $30. That’s exactly what happened to me.
I received a one-hour notice that I was suddenly added to a class. Of course, I canceled immediately because I had other plans. They still charged me the fee. When they couldn’t take the $30 from my account, they immediately canceled my entire membership, blocking me from the few classes I had actually managed to book at the end of the month.
Apparently, they expect customers to sit around checking the app 24/7 instead of living their lives. Stay away – they only care about your money, not your experience or convenience. Absolutely disgraceful. I can’t believe something like this is happening in the U.S.! I have to put one star because it’s not possible to make a review without putting any. if you got at the same situation with this club -Don’t let them treat you this way. This is the United States of America – such treatment of customers is unacceptable. This is unethical and unfair business practice. Read moreUnfortunately I did not have a good experience in my first ever pilates class. The instructor told us to pick any reformer in the room. My reformer was on the opposite side of two other participants. The warm-up exercises were easy so I had no trouble following. Once we started using the hand straps the instructions became a bit more complex and the instructor was focusing her attention on the other two participants in the class. I was unable to follow the instructions I asked for help and mentioned that I noticed she was focusing her attention on the other to participants. Keep in mind that I'm laying down on my back looking at the ceiling and I'm unable to see the instructor to see what the instructions are. She accused me of being rude I told her I was only giving her feedback and I needed more support. She asked me to leave the class and I did.
She should not have escalated the situation. If she was working the room from one side to the other she should have mentioned it. She should have indicated thay she was going to focus on the two participants on one side of the room then focus on the other side of the room next. She didn't give any indication of how she was running the class, so if she was eventually going to turn to me and give me some more support I would have waited but I had no idea what her method was. The instructor needs better training. At minimum she needs to instruct the class on how she runs the class. This is our first time at a pilates studio so we don't know what to expect. The girl in the front explained how to book a class and the different classes available. I booked and paid a class in the app a few days later. Everything was fine with the experience to that point, but when I started my first workout they pulled me aside and told me I couldn’t do it. They said someone should’ve called me the day before to approve me. I booked the class about 4-5 days prior. Someone could’ve told me any of those days, even the same day, but they waited for me to go there?. To make matters worse the refused to give me a refund for the class they didn’t let me take. At no point before they said anything about approvals. The girl said would talk to the manager and get back to me, but they didn’t. I called the next day, the person answering said the manager was there and they will have the manager call me back, again no phone call. Now they don’t even answer my calls.
