I have patronized this restaurant off and on for years! I have spent lots of money there and always tipped generously. Today I went in with my daughter and there was a waitress who initially greeted us with a scowl. She was rude from the get go but we did try to turn it around. While placing our order, I ordered the same thing I have always ordered. She was so rude I had difficulty even believing it. I will follow this review up with a call to the manager. We got up and walked out. My friends who also patronize this restaurant will not be doing so going forward unless this person no longer works there. The revenue generated by myself and my family and my friends will be a loss. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone expecting a cordial greeting and service with a degree of niceness. I have never experienced such rudeness from wait staff and never in this establishment prior to today. She needs to go! Good bye El...
Read moreHeard many good things about this restaurant, so I went to check it out. But it wasn't as good as everyone said. First off I went between the lunch and dinner hours, so it wasn't busy, 2 other tables besides myself and one of those already had food. The waitress was slow to get me water and take my order. Being it was afternoon snack time I got the sampler appitizer and refried beans (frijoles). The ap had chicken wing drumettes, both chicken and beef taquitos, quesadillas, smashed avocados (aguacate) and sour cream. Very tasty. But the best thing was the frijoles. Made with pinto beans, which were delicious, like momma use to make. Now my children would love that they were covered with cheese; I on the other hand thought it was a bit too much. So go for the food. I choose to overlook...
Read moreThis place never disappoints. It is perhaps the only good, proper sit-down Mexican restaurant within a 2-3 mile radius. Keep coming back here for the food. I’ve not seen it to be fully packed ever, neither during lunch nor dinner. The service isn’t the fastest but absolutely love everything that we order. Of course, I have no semblance to what “authentic” Mexican is, but the food is tasty, served hot, loaded with veggies. The house hot sauce is one of the best I’ve tried. Good amount of options for veggies. Veggie quesadilla is very tasty and filling. The Chile Relleno de Vegetales was good (it is deep fried in egg batter). Enchiladas Verdes is really good too. Chile en Nogada is very different, with fruits and nuts, enjoyable though. Overall, a place that...
