I know this place is new but I'm not sure how the Tacoma location is staying open. There was only one person in the restaurant during rush hour breakfast and oddly enough, all the furniture and wall décor is still styled with the previous restaurants name/menu (Harmon). I was even more disappointed to find out that there's a huge difference in food quality/service and food amounts between the Orting/Puyallup locations and this one. I consistently go to the Orting location most weekends and always receive great service, excellent tasting food and really good portions so I was excited to try the new Tacoma location because it local for me when I'm at work and a good breakfast place is hard to find.

I ordered my normal Lumberjack Hobo Hash and also ordered the Corned Beef Hash to save for later because it sounded good. The Lumberjack hash came out looking like a half order and I had ordered a full order. I asked the staff if what I had was a full order as it didn't look like the other locations and they replied that it was, indeed, a full order. It's literally half of what you would normally get at the other two locations and not in the 'cast iron' shape as presented on the website (as Orting does). The food tasted fine but it was small so I moved on to the Corned Beef Hash to try it while it was hot. It's absolutely terrible.... The only way I can describe it is ALPO dog food from a can that was heated up in the microwave. I hate throwing food away and I had to throw it away. Overall, my experience was negative with the Tacoma location but I really do love the food at other locations. l'll just play it safe and stick with the Orting location for consistency and food quality and not waste my money at...

First time and likely last time eating here. Let me first say for 5:00 it wasn't busy at all, which was nice. In the entire place there were four occupied tables and 11 guests in the main seating area and one or two tables in the bar area, but you would have thought the placed was packed based on the pace of service. We were sat immediately and had water and menus pretty quick, but that's where the attentiveness ended. We sat for about 10 minutes or so before my wife went looking for a drink menu. While she was looking the waitress saw her and asked if everything was ok. My wife said she was looking for a drink menu and the waitress said she'd bring us one. After another 10 minutes or so had passed, the drink menu never arrived (again, only four tables and 11 people). A different waitress finally came to our table and apologized for the delay in taking our order. We again asked for a drink menu which the new waitress went and got. We ordered our food and drink and then waited at least another 20 more minutes before we finally got our food. 20 minutes wouldn't seem bad for a busy place. I got a burger that visually looked like it would be tasty, but the patty was very under seasoned. My wife got the Chicago dog which was listed as a gourmet hotdog. Other than looking fancy with all the fixings, it was really just a basic hotdog. Neither of us were impressed with the food or the very...

So much bad it’s hard to articulate. I moved to the area a few weeks ago and I’ve had more than 3 instances of questionable experiences. First of all, was so excited to have a restaurant close to occasionally, however…The smell of the interior is enough to keep everyone away. You cannot step inside for one minute (or an hour) without smelling like a deep fryer of fish. I’ve ordered a few things like the Brussel sprouts, twice, and I had to toss them because they were so soaked in burnt oil. Upon one visit, I was confronted by a server who started talking politics and when I let her know I wasn’t interested in the conversation, she asked why? I said again, I held no interest, I was there to order dinner to go, she pressured the issued…literally to the point I almost felt like I needed to call authorities for harassment. She was mocking me and then laughing so weirdly without anyone else in the establishment…It escalated but I’ll reframe. Following day, I called the owner, he said something to the effect he had spoke about voting rights to his employees but never advised them who to vote for. Regardless, he said he’d speak to employee in question. She’s still an employee. Which I’m fine with, I just won’t return. Close your doors Tim’s Kitchen. Your food (and service by some servers) at this location is...

Be aware that on weekends wait times can be very long. I think we sat at our table for around 45 minutes while the server was handling many tables. She was great. They were just suffering from staffing issues it seemed. The tables weren't all full. This is different from my experience at Tim's in Puyallup, being not as good. Still very tasty and the fried chicken was great. The country Benedict was the best item. Followed by the chicken and waffles. The waffle was really soft on the inside and the brown sugar butter was better than the chicken. I wouldn't say it's better than Alfred's down the street, but it's pretty close in its own way. The chicken wasn't very crispy, verging on the soggy side on a piece or two. The breakfast pizza was something I wouldn't order again. It has lots of meat and toppings, but the sauce/gravy was lost in it without much seasoning on it. I do recommend sticking to what works with these folks, chicken and breakfast items. I do love that they have a nice salad bar. I'll come back again even with a long wait. The old Harmon building has its charm and the bloody Mary's here were really well made without being too acidic. They weren't a stiff pour of that's what you're looking for.

Tim’s Kitchen deserves a sparkling 10 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Today marked my inaugural visit, and boy, was I on a mission for the perfect Eggs Benedict! After a little adventure behind the wheel, I stumbled upon this gem in downtown Tacoma. As soon as I stepped inside, I was welcomed with a cheerful “hello” and a smile that could melt butter, followed by a quick seat at a cozy table. The menu was a delightful challenge, tempting me to explore a creative twist on my beloved breakfast staple. And then came the coffee—served with a choice of regular creamer or vanilla. Talk about a caffeine upgrade! Now, let’s talk about the waitress—she was an absolute star! With a warm, friendly vibe and an upbeat personality, she could have easily been the lead in a feel-good rom-com. I also appreciated the sign out front directing me to additional parking across the street, which felt like a little love note for drivers like me. I think I’ve officially found my new favorite breakfast spot. The food? Simply amazing! I mean, if happiness had a flavor, it would be the Eggs Benedict from Tim’s Kitchen! 🍳❤️
