Read moreHostile toward women, friendly to drunk old men. I came here with my 24-year-old friend just to have a drink and relax. She forgot her ID, so she ordered water and I (23) went to the bar to order a cocktail. The woman bartender immediately questioned me in a condescending way, saying âdo you even have it on you?â while I was literally pulling out my wallet. I let that slide and gave her my ID.
While I was at the bar waiting for the drink, two visibly drunk older men (who clearly seemed like regulars) started making uncomfortable comments about my appearance and age. One joked âare you even old enough to drink?â and another said something like âdid you even pass a BAR?â The bartender just smiled along with them instead of shutting it down. It was weird and inappropriate. Iâve never had that happened to me before. I regret even tipping the bartender.
I brought my drink back to the table, and after my friend took one sip just to try it (again, sheâs 24), a male manager came over and aggressively told us we had to leave. We werenât loud, rude, or disruptive in any way. It was extremely clear we were being watched from the start and treated like we didnât belong there.
This entire situation felt unwelcoming, biased, and honestly sexist. You allow drunk men to harass female customers while policing and judging young women for sharing a sip of a cocktail? Obviously we were not completely right in this situation, but the way everything was...
Read moreThis place is the second worst pizza restaurant I 've ever had since I moved here near Tampa. I went with my family today to visit water street because of its light and Christmas tree display. When my wife, Son and myself arrived in the area, we where hungry and decided to stop and eat in this pizza place. When we entered we couldn't find any where to seat. I had to look for someone to help but every body was busy. Understandable, so I asked the person incharge of the restaurant where we could seat until finally they told us to kindly find by ourselves some where to seat. The next part that followed was being attended by a not so genuine waitress. We requested our order which was a large pizza with pepperoni, sauge, onion, and green peppers. The other order was the plate of 18 dry rub wings and 3 glasses of sodas. We where serve the wings first with no plates nor napkins. The worst part was when they served the pizza it was kind of soggy because so much cheese or veggies in it. The slices couldn't stay in one piece. Half of the slices would fold but the other would be soggy. The only thing that was presentable and taste it good was the Buffalo wings. For 3 person we wind up paying eighty dollars plus including tip. Price was too stiff for bad service and terrible pizza. Wouldn't recommend this place to any body. It was my first time visiting around that area but will make sure never to step into this restaurant again. Bad...
