Excellent value. 2 hour cruise around various Tampa residential and industrial waterways. You get your ticket validated in parking just like Google Maps shows and it is an easy five or six minute walk to the dock. On your way you'll see some of the excellent recent development of Channelside. Definitely a different view of Tampa you would not be able to see if you don't own a very large boat. We went on the Christmas Cruise and Santa was there it was a wonderful experience for my little girl. Very good quality buffet food, though I do not eat pork, it had a wide variety of both breakfast and lunch food. Staff was professional and courteous. I have not been on one of these Starship cruises in several years, this is a newer boat and new route in Tampa is certainly a worthwhile outing. I'm sure tourists would really enjoy it. I will return with other family members and guests! In the accompanying photos you will see another one of their ships taking a slightly different route on a little different schedule. This boat was phenomenally clean, the bathrooms had been recently remodeled and they were flawless shiny and could have been in a Starship instead of a star boat. The day was a little overcast but very pleasant weather. Instead of the manager or the maitre d asking about the experience, I would have probably rather enjoyed the chef Zoran chatting with us for a few minutes to complement the excellent work and while our server Olivia was busy she was a top quality employee, social and very pleasant, even though tips are not part of the deal, I would have certainly tipped the staff for this event, it was great!

We won these tickets at a charity auction and were excited for our "date night" aboard the yacht starship. This is a difficult review because there were some really great things about it, but some really lousy parts of the experience as well. I will start with the Parking (which by the way didn't influence my rating because the company doesn't control it) but it happened to be a Lightning game night, so we were turned away from the parking in front of the ship. We then went to the garage across the street and paid $20 to only find out later (when reading our ticket) that we could have had a discount. After walking to the venue, the lady at the registration window was extremely nice as were the couple of crew members that stayed out and greeted us before the boarding was to begin. Once the ship opened up, we went on board and were promptly shown to our table. Our waitress, Jennifer, was quick to the table and was friendly, but we were a bit taken back that almost every other suggestion she made was an up-sell. We made our food selections and ordered a bottle of wine, which she was prompt to bring. That promptness was short lived, however as the ship got busy we saw her less and less, and ended up at one point going and finding a pitcher of water to refill our glasses ourselves. The tomato salad with the everything bagel seasoning was actually the best part of our meal, although both myself and my wife felt the portions were small. I ordered the ribeye (Again, an $11.95 upsell) and while the texture and temperature of the meat was perfect medium rare, the steak was tough and I literally had to work so hard to cut it my wife thought I was going to knock over a glass. After we finished our main course, in one of her few later trips to the table, Jennifer matter-of-factly told us that they were busy with other guests and we would be waiting a while to get dessert, so we might as well go upstairs. We opted to wait, and didn't see her again until around 25 minutes later when our dessert came out. The dessert (when it finally came out) was good, I had the Reese's peanut butter pie and my wife had key lime. We then asked about our bill and was told she was too busy right then and she would find us upstairs. Once we got upstairs, we stared enjoying the views and the music and I decided to get a cocktail. I ordered a captain morgan and diet coke, and I was told the bar was cash only. After I explained that I didn't have any cash, he finally agreed to take a card but I was charged $13 for the drink!!!! Anyway, I really hope this was just an off night, but based on the service experience and the quality of the food, I don't think I would repeat this dinner.

When they say "different stokes for different folks", last night was a great example of that and our New Years Eve experience was such. This review will discuss our experience on the Tampa Bay NYE cruise. I called two days prior to ask a few questions as online sales ended at this point. One of my questions was "Do you guys have Tito's Vodka" and the answer was yes. However, when we boarded the boat, Tito's was NOT included in the open bar package. It would've been helpful with the person answering me the day before the event to say "Yes we have Tito's but it's not included in the package". So that was not a great start to the night to find that out. We already had dinner so I can't comment on the food except for the desserts being passed around. Last night was foggy so by the time we had the passed desserts had some condensation on it from being on the 3rd/top deck. The music was not great. Not only was the "DJ" off beat on several transitions but there was very little music from the past few years. I understand the musical choices reflected the older audience on the boat but it's NYE! Let's go with some Billie Ellish, Charli XCX or even something modern from Beyonce (not just Single Ladies!). They really need to clarify the open bar bullet point on the event description. It was basically Miller Lite/Bud Light/Yuengling and rail alcohol. You know, the cheap stuff. The comp champagne was was it was, sweet and an inexpensive taste to it. I will say the bar servers and wait staff were friendly and hustling their rear off. THE SAVING GRACE to this whole night was the Fireworks. Thank goodness for that. If you want to see that view, go to the 3rd deck and head to the back of the boat. That was nice but beyond that, the dollar amount of over $500 for 2 tickets to this NYE event was absolutely not worth it.

My wife and I were so happy we went for her Birthday. The staff was friendly and the brunch food offering exceeded our expectations. A really nice suprise that set the experience off really well was that the food was ready as soon as you were allowed to board. So we had enough time to basically finish our food as the boat was launching, so for us it was more like a 3 hr cruise vs 2 hr advertised sail time. They even suprised her with two pieces of complementary delicious desert for her bday. Additionally, they only advertised all you can drink mimosas for $10. I am not one to drink sweet drinks so was suprised to find they also offered the same deal for bloody marys (I had 4 :p). Our server was very attentive, and I happily tipped extra. There is a $5 gratuity per person automatically added, but dont be a cheapy and make sure to tip especially if you get drinks :p Because the food was served early we enjoyed the boat ride mainly from the sunny upper deck where they had djs playing and another bar upstairs. Highly recommend getting there early to take full advantage. This was a case of undersell and over perform. It was 3 nice suprises, in a good way that really exceeded our expectations and kicked off an amazing birthday vacation for my wife and I. Our next visit to tampa, for sure will do this again, we highly recomend.

From the moment we connected with Wendy we knew we had chosen the right venue. We are from Saint Louis, so trying to find venues 1000 miles away was stressful! This was the first place we flew down to see and it was instant (we legit didn’t look anywhere else!) Amelia, our wedding coordinator was soooooooooo patient and kind answering all our questions! We actually had our wedding dress and suit lost, (8 days before the wedding!) and she saw my post on social media and called just to make sure I was okay! She didn’t have to do that, but she did (believe it or not we didn’t find the dress, but we located exact matches in Tampa when we landed!) Every detail was carefully crafted to ensure our day was magical! The entire team worked so hard to make sure even the smallest things were taken care of. We made some really good friends with the staff, and we cannot wait to come back for our anniversary! Thank you SO much for everything you have done for us! You truly made us feel loved and special! Also, can we talk about the food! Multiple guests told us it was the BEST wedding door they had ever had! If you’re thinking about this venue, please just give them a call! I’ve never been so fortunate to work with such amazing human beings! Thank you again for being a part of the best day of our lives!

We held our wedding reception aboard Starship III on 5/22/22. It was an absolutely WONDERFUL experience from start to finish. The booking process was simple, and Christine and the team were very helpful when explaining the different packages. They worked with us to modify docking so that the boat departed from and returned to our ceremony site (Florida Aquarium) and made it much easier for our guests. Rachel Knight, our on-site coordinator, was simply phenomenal. She was warm, friendly, and amazingly efficient. The day-of details seemed to go off without a hitch (or if there were hitches, we didn't notice or know about them!) Rachel also took the time and effort to go above and beyond - I lost my mother a few weeks before the wedding, and Rachel coordinated with my fiance to have a framed photo of the two of us made so that Mama could be there in spirit on the big day. That kind of consideration was truly exceptional. The food was wonderful, our DJ Paul made sure to hit our request list and work with us to be sure everything was what we wanted, the serving staff was friendly and made sure we were taken care of...it was just overall a wonderful experience. Our guests loved it and so did we! (Photos courtesy of A Stewart Photo & Video.)
