I went to Doc B’s with some coworkers on Friday (2-21-25). We had been here before and have always liked the vibe of this place. When you walk in there is a bar area in the middle of the restaurant with a long table next to it. We thought it was part of the bar seating, so we sat down. After about ten minutes we asked the server in the area if we could see some menus. She told us that the table was not in her section but she would talk to the hostess about serving us. The hostess approached the table and told us that we couldn’t sit there because the table was not part of the bar and they were on a 1 hour wait for tables. Remember we had already been sitting there for 10 minutes. We moved our group to the bar and ordered some drinks. About 20-30 minutes went by and no one had been sat at long table. A member of our group asked the manager (I assume she was the manager, because she was who the hostess deferred us to) if we could move back to the table since it appeared the wait was over. The manager initially said no and was still insisting they were super busy and may need the table for other guest. After a few minutes of protest she allowed use to sit at the table, but at this point our spirits had been dampened. We decided to stay and order some food. Our server Lacey got our night back on track with a bright personality and great service. All in all they have great drinks and good food. It’s just unfortunate that this manager couldn’t manage to see that sitting us at that table would not have had an impact on her dwindling wait list. She did come over to our table to make sure we were ‘okay’, but at this point what was done took away any credibility she may have had...
Read moreWe are true Foodies from Omaha and I have to say, Doc Bs is severely lacking in the management department. By the end of our meal, we were in hysterics by the many, MANY issues we had here. First, we ordered club sodas and lemonade. Unfortunately their soda machine was down which meant no one was receiving sodas or mixed drinks etc apparently. They were then out of lemonade so we ordered 3 waters. Then we order. I order a Wok bowl (they were out of Tuna🤣- this is about the point it became comical). So, I order chicken instead. I’m ok with chicken 🐔 My husband ordered a burger with condiments on the side only and my son ordered chicken nugget things with friend. In the interim we didn’t get any refills on our water until it was time to deliver our food. When one of the waitresses came by to refill the water, she spilled water on our table and didn’t clean it up. 😂😂 39 minutes later we receive our food.
My husbands burger came with mustard/mayonnaise on the burger plus the sides of both 🤣 My son got the chicken tenders things and asked for bbq and ranch on the side. They brought a garlic dipping sauce in place of both 😆😆😆 No bbq or ranch ever came. My wok bowl was pretty tasty but they forgot the CHICKEN 😂😆🤣
We finally told the waitress to just make sure we didn’t get charged for the chicken. We receive the bill and guess what??? Got charged for the chicken 😆
We paid and got the heck out of there. This was Doc Bs at the Tampa location. It was a straight up Hot Mess. Of course we left a good tip, weren’t rude or anything. I just can’t see myself going back to that place unless they get a grasp of management...
Read moreUpdate from Feb 2024. I ordered The Wedge Burger without a bun and regular fries and the meal was delicious. The Red Ale as a rotating beer was also delicious but I didn’t get the name of the brewery. An FYI. The big round table on the patio has great space but it's a little too big to hold conversations across the table since there is a lot of noise from people passing by as they exit the International Center. This was a last minute decision to stop at Doc B after shopping at the mall. It was after Eight and we were given a nice large table on the patio. We started with an off-menu BBQ Chicken quesadilla as an appetizer which was pretty good and a Motorworks Octoberfest draft beer which was excellent. For a main course my wife had a Wok Out Bowl with grilled salmon, sesame teriyaki and quinoa, she said it was good and she would have it again. I had the traditional cheeseburger with blue cheese. The burger patty was great but the bun was really bad and I couldn’t eat it. Lose a star for this. I ordered the burger with buffalo style potatoes expecting to get large French fries, but they were small round potato cakes tossed in a buffalo wings spicy hot sauce. I couldn’t take the spiciness and the waitress was very understanding and bought me a side plate of French fries instead at no extra cost, so they get the star back. I should say that service from Maria was exceptional. The bill was $84.53 for the two of...
