This location is close to the home base for my job, so I’ve visited quite a few times over the years.
I order through the app 99% of the time, so I go in, grab my bag, and be on my way. Food is usually hot, fresh, and doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting.
Today I ran into my first issue that actually required some customer service and was pretty disappointed with the outcome. I ordered through the app, went into the drive through, got my bag, and left. I drove to a job site and finally decided to eat before getting started. Saw it wasn’t my order and was considerably less than I had ordered. Not a big deal. I ate the small fry and 4 piece McNugget they had given me despite my order being a large fry and two McDoubles.
End of the day, I decided to go back inside and just see if they’d give me at least another small fry and a McDouble as compensation for the mix up earlier in the day. I ask the guy at the counter after explaining what happened and he shrugs his shoulders and tells me he doesn’t know. I wasn’t being rude, mean, even annoyed. I was definitely still in work mode and being just as polite as I am towards the clients I work with. I suggest asking a manger and he says okay and walks off to someone who was by the fry station. They’re talking for a second and they go further back to where I can’t see them anymore. They both come back to the front about two minutes later and immediately talk/address someone who knew the clerk I originally spoke with. Again, not a big deal. I wait and nothing. The associate wouldn’t even look at me anymore. So either he never even went to the manager to see if they could just give me the food I ordered or the management said no. Regardless, they could have at least told me the answer. Service gets a fat 0. I don’t think a bad review is worth the dollar or two they would have loss by making things...
Read moreThis morning I went to this McDonald’s to get a coffee and ordered a muffin sandwich. I politely asked if they could toast the muffin a bit more than usual, since it’s often served almost cold and undercooked.
When I received it, the muffin was completely burnt—black and clearly inedible. I told the man who handed it to me (an African-American gentleman with glasses, who appeared to be the manager), “This is burnt.” He replied, “Well, you asked for it more toasted. The machine setting can’t be changed—it’s impossible.”
I asked him, “Would you eat this?” and he admitted, “No, but some customers ask for it like this.” That doesn’t mean they like it—most likely, they realize it’s burnt once they’ve already left the restaurant. In my case, I noticed before leaving because the burnt smell was very strong. I told him I didn’t want it that way, and though he offered to make another one, I had already lost my appetite and declined.
I’ve had good service at this location before, but this morning’s experience was disappointing. I truly believe that when someone works with care and love, no matter what the job is, they find ways to do things right. Every customer matters—even if we’re not regulars.
Also, for the record: I have family who works at McDonald’s, and I know the machine settings can be adjusted. And if they can’t, the food can at least be pulled out before it burns.
They should really check that toaster machine—last week, I ordered the same muffin and it was nearly raw and cold, which is exactly why I asked for it to be toasted a bit more today. It shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that if the same machine burns one sandwich and undercooks another, it’s not working properly and needs to be fixed.
Hopefully this helps improve things for...
Read morePulled up, ordered & paid w/o issue & quickly. Then, said they didn't have 2 pies, only 1, would I pick another item. I said sure, no problem. Pulled to p/u window... waited a long time. No one said order would take extended time, would it be ok. No one came for a long while to check on me. When someone finally came, they asked me to move to 3rd window, behind someone who was also there a long time; they did not offer me a reason, just walked away. Front car finally got their order & I pulled up, sat & sat & sat. Worker came with a Frappuccino & asked if it was mine. No. Told them order & they disappeared. Waited... 2nd worker came with burgers. No. Told them order. Disappeared. Waited. 2nd worker came back with 3rd worker, who said she made order & they thought I left, food was in bin. Both walked away. Waited. Worker 2 came back, with no food or explanation & asked me to drive around, so they could give out orders that were sitting there, that they 1st thought were mine. I said no, I've been waiting, they can wait. I'm not moving & want the mgr. Mgr. took awhile, then did not offer any compensation, only said he was sorry, he was on break & had no idea. Began to just walked away with no update, or food. I called him back & asked for a refund. He still offered nothing to compensate me. He just left. Took forever & worker 2 finally came back with my refund. Time stamp on that receipt was for time way before they actually gave it to me! So, I left agitated,...
