It's been a while since I dined in at the OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE. I'm don't usually think of steak as my first meal of the day. But sitting there at window side, watching the traffic on a wet Sunday, made me feel like it was surely a great decision. The wait staff were friendly and accommodating, making one feel welcomed and special. The wait time for your meal was not bad at all considering you had a bread and butter starter followed by soup or salad depending on the meal you ordered. My daughter ordered their famous blooming onion topped with cheese smothered French fries. The fries were an extra , ofcourse, which you have to ask for since it's not on the menu as a combination (I know why.) I thought it was a bit much, really, as it was plenty enough to feed two other hungry people...and easily a meal in itself, I thought. It was delicious and came with two dipping sauces, ranch and horseradish. Both tasted yummy and I couldn't decide which I liked better. After our salad, our meal came out. I ordered the grilled shrimp with a side of lobster. It came with rice pilaf and a small assortment of grilled vegetables and pineapple. Everything was delicious except the glaze on the pineapple almost tainted the whole meal with its sweetness. (I just put it aside and ate it as my dessert later.) My daughter ordered the steak and loaded baked potatoes. She said that while her steak was delicious, her potato was outstanding, freshly made and smothered with all the fixings. She enjoyed it so much and kept trying to make me taste it. I refused as had my own plateful of food to savor and enjoy. The meal was leisurely, perfect for the rainy weather outside. The waitstaff kept stopping by checking to see if our meals were okay and if we needed anything else. Ofcourse, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and we winded up taking our leftovers as there was surely enough for another meal later on. All in all, dining there was a great choice if you're into "fine dining" in a relaxing setting and it's not in a hotel. And, with fine dining comes the price you're willing to pay . I thought it was worth it. My meal was delicious and the waitstaff were great. All in all, the experience was enjoyable. I wouldn't mind dining there again....sometime in the...
Read moreGoing to dinner this evening reminded me of the many reasons why I don't go out as often to have someone else to make me a meal after a long day. Before I proceed with my review, I would like to say that we had sat at our table at 6:20pm this evening. Tonight was alright, but the reason to have dinner remained priority. So I kept an open mind to the rest of the "Outback Experience".
The hostesses and hosts were friendly and sweet, but the time it took for us to actually receive service at our table could have been better. It took a good 20 minutes for someone to actually get our order of drinks, appetizers and our meals. I even told my husband that if no one assisted us in the next 10-15 minutes that we would head on over to our original choice for dinner, which was further down in Tamuning. We then finally got our drinks, bread and appetizers at 7:10pm. Then we got our meals at 7:30pm. So basically we got our meals an hour later. Still keeping an open mind about our purpose and reason for having dinner. There are a lot of improvements I think that may need to be rectified, such as maybe the setup of how guests need to be seated, and strategically assigning hostesses and hosts to keep their eyes on the floor, ensuring that all customers are being attended to. Other than that, I would say that as long as I am in the company of those that mattered the most to me, is what sealed the perfect night for me. ❤️ But I would like to add that yes, I agree with everyone about their signature steaks there such as the rib-eye, that...
Read moreFor me my steak ordee was medium rare but a little over over, ceasar salad was salty, service wise not bad but need more attentive to guests need, i also experienced not good from them "i used gift card from my bank gave it to the waiter and she said she will go to the office to checked with it but she came back long enough, as she approached back to us she said that my three gift card only one has ($14.90) but the rest has none on it so i asked which one has $14.90 and again she went back to the office and bring the receipt, so i decided to get the 2 gift card that has no value and used the one that has $14.90. Then that time the manager approched us that she wanted to get the two gift card that has none on it but i told here no i have to call my bank and have it checked who claimed it but she said i will check the office first and came back telling me that they claimed the giftcarf and say sorry that the waiter and the kitchen manager are not familiar with it.
From that experienced as a customer we must be vigilant when using giftcard at Outback this might happen to you and also for the staff avoid your hand signal because you are not sure who are the people you're dealing.
