Long wait. Friendly waitress, great food. I got the kurobata pork belly, the roasted bone marrow, and my husband got what I think was called the pika pika pizza. They did warn me that my 2 would be small, and I was okay with that. I do appreciate the warning. The pork imo would benefitted from them using a fattier cut such as pork belly as it was a bit dry, and more peppercorn - I barely tasted any and was expecting a lot since it was in the description. Pretty good otherwise. The bone marrow was ok. I don't know if it was precooked and resolidified, or if they just torched it without prior prep. Whatever they did, it needed more cooking time cause there were lots of pockets of solidified fat that looked underdone. I'm used to it being really melt in your mouth as we use it in pho and me and sister would fight over the marrow. Balsamic was also too sweet for me. Was still overall enjoyable. The slice of pizza I stole from my husband though, that was great. The crust was perfect. Perfect amount of spice, sauce wasn't too sweet.

Edit: 3 stars is neutral. Amazing food gets an extra star, great service and atmosphere get another star combined. Wanted to give 4.5 but cannot. Couldn't give them a full 5 because of the bone marrow and pork choice. If it's going to be small and expensive(the 2 plates were $32) like finer dining would be, I'm going to hold it to...

🚗 Heads-up: parking is TOUGH here (took me 3–4 tries to snag a spot) so plan a little extra time. Trust me—it’s totally worth the effort.

🍕 FOOD & DRINK • Weekly Chef’s Special – always changing, always creative. Make this your first stop on the menu. • “Optimus Pie” pizza – lives up to the heroic name. Perfect crust, bold toppings. • Mango & Bok Choy Salad – super fresh and bright; a great warm-up act. • House pours: ask for the recommended wine or splurge on a Nikka Miyagikyo single-malt 🥃—lovely match for the pizza. • Dessert: Citrus Leche Flan 🍮 + a single espresso = the guilt-free finale you didn’t know you needed. Light, silky, bursting with flavor.

💁‍♂️ SERVICE Local staff are genuinely friendly and impressively attentive without hovering. They’ll guide you toward pairings and the perfect special if you’re stuck deciding.

📋 PRO TIPS • Arrive a bit before opening or closer to closing to dodge the parking crunch. • If you can’t decide, just say “What’s the special tonight?” and roll with their suggestion. • Save room for dessert—seriously.

All in, Primo Pizzakaya delivers a five-star experience once you’re through the door. Put it on your must-visit list and thank...

Primo Pizzakaya is the restaurant that Guam never knew it needed so badly! The inspired creativity that chef/owner Dylan Saad displays in all of his dishes, coupled with the technical skills he mastered while attending one of the top culinary schools in the world, make his restaurant one of the best I have been to while in Guam, if not ever. Every dish on the menu pushes the boundaries of delicious food and steps up the level of food available on Guam. The service is top notch and our server, Anna, definitely delivered some of the best service we have experienced in a restaurant. There was a short wait to be seated, but with good reason. The entire experience was one of a kind. The restaurant is very intimate, with the kitchen being the focal point of the entire experience. Chef Dylan is incredibly welcoming and takes time out to speak with each of the guests sitting at the bar personally. The wait staff is very attentive and personable, without being overbearing. The food is made from the freshest, highest quality ingredients available, and it shows. I will definitely be returning in the very near future and would recommend this restaurant to anyone without a...

This is mostly a review of The Study at Pizzakaya; Overall 8.5/10 While it's difficult to disassociate the bar from the restaurant, overall both deliver a great experience! My only wish was that this was a dedicated bar, as Guam sorely needs a speakeasy of this caliber. Ambiance: 7.5/10 Semi-tight and often crowded, both sections of the establishment feel confined. That said, what they have done with the space is very relaxing and nice. The Study feels like a high end speak easy, if only you didn't turn around and see the rest of the restaurant. Drinks 10/10 The head bartender and Manager are both VERY versed in mixology and are extremely meticulous when crafting drinks. This is THE premier drinking experience in Guam, which is notorious for lacking good bartenders. If you want a craft cocktail, this is the only place to go. Food: 9/10 The pizza here is always great, and the primary reason I came here and discovered The study. I got The Chief and it was a well crafted and nicely balanced. The crust had great chew and crunch, and all the toppings were solid.

Primo Pizzakaya has been on my list for a while and piqued my interest due to the apparent Japanese influence, but I hesitated going because of the prices and worrying that I wouldn't like it or that it wouldn't be worth the money (the pizzas looked small compared to other pizza places). But..it has such great reviews. So, I finally went, and it was absolutely worth it! REALLY delicious food, made fresh with quality ingredients!! And such unique and wonderful flavor combinations! The ambience is great, loved the music playing in the background, didn't have to wait too long for the food, and like I said, *seriously* delicious. My photos may not do the food justice, but trust me, it was good. Everyone else we went with also loved what they got. And they had great service also! I never had to ask for more water among other things. Great experience, and I couldn't wait to eat the leftovers the next day!
