The most unpleasant experience in Guam.
We had made a reservation in advance and visited, but the table was empty, the server did not confirm the reservation and took us to the table. As soon as we sat down at the table, the server told us there had been a mistake and that we had to go out again and wait and he assign that table to the people who came after us. So we told the server that we had also made a reservation, he asked us to sit at the next table. a So when we tried to sit down again , another server came and suddenly yelled at us in English and told us to go out and wait. It was an obvious command and felt racist towards non-English speakers, and the tone we had never experienced before, so our family was very shocked. And throughout this process we were wet with a 28-month-old baby.
We wanted to talk about the situation properly, but we thought it was not a good way to complain to her in English in this situation, because it was the manager who yelled. The servers didn't look very disciplined, and the manager yelled us with an angry face and went back. All the guests seemed to feel like a problem to her.
We were eventually ushered back to the table where we had been evicted. This place is so unkind and inefficient. The people at the other table looked very happy, but our family to eat very uncomfortable and unpleasant. If it hadn't rained, we would have gone somewhere else. The food didn't taste bad, but it was unbelievable that it was a restaurant on the first floor of a hotel with a lot of family tourists, and we had a very disappointing...
Read moreDespite the 5/5 star view, the overall experience was truly disappointing. The musicians were great but played sad/depressing music (not fit for the atmosphere). The music was so loud my husband and I could not hear each other. We waited over an hour for fish and chips (there were 3 other tables besides us) but instead, received fish tacos because our server could also not hear us. After she told us she would end up paying for the tacos, I told her we would eat them and to cancel the first order. I told her instead of the fish and chips, we would have dessert. We ordered dessert and another 45 minutes later, we received the original fish and chips. I told the staff we had canceled that, but I guess the server did not cancel it. To top off the experience, she had never put in the dessert order after being there for an hour and 45 minutes. I ended up asking for the fish and chips to go as I was already quite mad. The tacos were cold and flavorless, not to mention, not what we originally ordered. The drinks were also very watered down and nothing special. We had heard great things about this place, but after our experience, we will not be coming back. Guam has better food choices with the same view, way faster, and by far better and cheaper. Don't waste your money on drinks and food here. I didn't even take a picture of the food as it wasn't worth it. The server felt bad and did give a 20% discount after all the misunderstandings, but unfortunately, we left with a very...
Read moreReally wanted to give this place five stars especially since it’s located in a very nice resort.
Customer service: When my party was seated, we waited for a few minutes for a server to take our drink orders, which didn’t happen. Someone from our table had to go up to the bar and ask for service. Keep in mind the restaurant was not crowded.
Drinks: I ordered the Pandora’s Ring, which was so delicious. Unfortunately, I only received my drink when I was already halfway through my meal and even at that I had to remind our sever that I was still waiting for it. He apologized and it was comped.
Food: The food is primarily why I’m rating Tasi Grill so low. Orders for the table - Fish Tacos, Caesar salad, chicken wings and fries, and the salmon. The salad and wings were okay (although the fries were already cold and soggy). The salmon was burnt but the coconut rice was a nice surprise. The fish tacos were the worst especially for the price. Tortilla was cold and hard, and fish was tasteless. It came with tortilla chips that were stale and salsa wasn’t great.
Location: Being beachside on a sunny, cool afternoon and the company is what saved this rating from getting two stars. Nothing beats a nice day on Guam’s beaches.
Additional comment: My friends and I were the only local guests and seemed the be the table that was getting the...
