It’s never a good feeling to leave a bad review for a place you want to succeed. But this has to be said.

The food was inedible. Way over cooked and tough to eat. The rice was so hard I felt like I cracked a tooth. I had high hopes after reading the reviews, but unfortunately I was let down by the food and it also took over 45mins to get my order. I placed a takeout and there was one other person in the whole place who was also waiting for food. It didn’t seem like they had other orders, but it still took over 45 mins for two food plates, a salad and some premade dolmas to come out. I actually went there because I was in search of some takeout that would be faster than a dine in restaurant since I had a long day and just wanted to get home. But I assumed that since you ordered from a board overhead and it seemed like most things were just ready to serve it would be relatively quick.

I just can’t go back now, and would not at all recommend this place. We only got 4 things and had to tip of course, it was close to $100. Way over priced for what you get, and all completely inedible, I couldn’t even give it to my dogs, they’d choke. I hope they fix their errors or this place...

First time visiting the area and I was super excited to see Shawarma sandwiches, but man what a disappointment. The food took a while to be prepped, seemed that there is only one person working in the store. The store smelled a little odd but I thought it was just the food being cooked ( I should’ve left right there). We ordered shawarma wrap, kafta wrap and chicken pieces for my child. The food took longer than expected and wraps came out. It looked presentable but the taste was awful. The meat was dry and rubbery, some of the meat was burnt. There was a ton of pungent onion in the wrap as well to cover up the bad taste of the low quality non-seasoned meat. We are quite disappointed with the quality of the food and would not come back. I wanted to sit outside as the AC was cranking indoors but the seat cushions were whipped and no tables to eat on. I don’t recommend going here and it is not reasonably...

Threw the entire order in the trash. I am very disappointed especially because I left a $5 tip for the guy. We ordered one beef sandwich one chicken sandwich with olives and peppers what we received was the beef sandwich exactly how it comes with tons of onions and tomatoes and things on it we don’t with eat no olives and no peppers. And the worst part was it took a very long time and we were the only people in the shop. We didn’t look at our food until we got home because we got it to go. I took one bite to discover all the onions that I did not want and after removing all of the onions I took a second bite to see if it was salvageable but it wasn’t and the rest went in the trash. As for the chicken sandwich my wife tried to eat it but ended up giving it to the dog because it also wasn’t made correctly and tested bad. Unfortunately this was our first and last experience dining...

I’ve ordered take-out from here several times over the last 4 years and have had pretty good food. But this recent order was horrible. The chicken shawarma was completely dried out, hard & no seasonings, no flavor or even color to the chicken. I’ve never seen shawarma look like that ever in my life. Inedible & so over priced for bad chicken & mushy white rice. The falafel sandwich must have been warmed up too long because everything inside was hot; the lettuce & tomatoes turned into cooked vegetables, along with other ingredients. The sandwich fell apart as I’m eating it and was completely ruined. I hate to say it but I will no be returning after that poor quality food.. Not worth trying again. Too expensive.

The husband and I have been waiting for the summer crowds to thin out to try Madeline’s. It was definitely worth the wait. While not exactly the shawarma we remember fondly from our years in Europe, the flavors were wonderful. I ordered the beef and the husband ordered the chicken. The shawarma came cut in half so we each tried half of each. The chicken had a nice sharp garlic kick and the beef had a great Mediterranean flavor. The restaurant is rather small but has indoor seating and a couple of outdoor bistro-style tables as well. The food took a bit to get, but we didn’t mind the wait and used the time to see the large photos on the walls.
