This dairy queen is a refreshing example of how a fast food restaurant is supposed to be run. It isn't a chik fil a but it operates like one. I left McDonald's tonight after waiting in line for almost 30 minutes. The McDonald's is 24 hours so it should be ready to take my order and make my food all day and all night but it wasn't and as usual it was a total let down and has been this way for the laat 15 years it's been there. I decided I'll go down the road and try dairy queen as their burgers are actually really good even better than the burger at McDonald's but I figured McDonald's would be quick. I was wrong and when I pulled up to dairy queen 12 minutes before they closed they took my order immediately and then proceeded to make my blizzard and make my food fresh! My burger was hot my fires were hot and they didn't complain that I had pulled up 12 minutes before close. The younger white girl at the register was very nice for having to wait on me with 12 minutes left. The older black woman in the back was also awesome and cooked my food quickly and it was fresh and she never gave me a look or mumbled under her breath like I would've gotten at McDonald's. I will go to dairy queen from now on and I'm not sure what the names of the workers were that helped me but it was the closing staff on Wednesday 9/4/24 so the younger girl and older woman who helped me should be recognized for delivering great customer service with being so close to closing time. I know it's a pain to cook something when it's almost closing time but they did it anyway without complaint and with a smile and were professional the entire time. Thank you for being decent people who had enough self respect and work ethic to help me like you did I won't forget this and next time I come through tue drive through I will be bringing cash for tips for the people who help me if I happen to show up late again. Great job to the person who runs this location and hires folks you have some good people working there and they put McDonald's to shame in every single category: food, service, attitude, time, and most importantly respect. Thank you to the two people the younger girl and the lady who made my burger and fries I really appreciate you two and thank you for treating me so well so close to closing yall outshined McDonald's tonight and I'll never go back to McDonald's but I'll be coming to dairy queen from now on and telling all my friends who have lots of children that dairy queen is the new spot and McDonald's is a joke and should never be...
Read moreThis location is committed to giving the best possible experience to it's customers. Yes, the line is long and it takes a while to get your order sometimes. But to all complaints I used to work in a fast food restaurant during the pandemic and let me just say this...every business on every corner is hiring and hiring at wages way higher than they would have ever considered before..why??? Because every business is so short staffed because hardly anyone wants to work during this time. It has been a very trying time in the world. These employees work themselves to the bone! Everytime I visit, I notice all of the hard work being put in with the manager being the one to do more than one job at a time. She is always there and always so sweet and nice to me even though you know she's got to be exhausted! I couldn't help but comment after reading some of the complaints. You can definitely tell some people have never worked fast food or customer service type jobs before and certainly not during the pandemic. I have to say bravo to management and crew!!! Y'all are awesome everytime I come through the drive-thru. Especially the manager with the blonde hair (I believe her name is Denise) Thank you Dairy Queen Fort Mill for all your hard work. It doesn't go...
Read moreI get parked and walk up to the door after driving for hours. I wanted to get out of my car, relax use the restroom and the doors were locked! We are working on 2 years now DQ! Get it together! People do not want messy ice cream in their cars! As I'm ordering at the drive through, I hear someone in the background pipe up "jesus". He was annoyed I added pretzels to my order! Very unprofessional and Rude! I said did he just say Jesus on the speaker? She said yes he's busy doing other stuff! Why was he on the speaker he wasn't taking my order?! I responded, ill be doing a google review and he starts going off again. This employee needs to quit or be fired, if he doesn't like his job or customers. You do not speak to customers that way! You would not have a job if it weren't for your customers. Now let's talk about the food, my chicken sandwich was not even warm, my onion rings didn't taste fresh and were not even warm or hot, my pretzels were black and my blizzard had very few pieces of pumpkin pie-it was like I ordered a plain vanilla blizzard for 4.50! Worst DQ I've ever been too! Do some training or firing to improve your food quality. For the price its not worth it! Won't be back to...
