Went to Pescado 16th August for dinner with my Partner in crime, college. The waitress was very polite sat us at our table. I ordered KFC chicken(KFC is a branded name very tacky), 4 slivers breaded and fried to a dark brown, tough and well overcooked, with sweet chilli dip. The rib'si ordered was the best dish overall. I thought when ordering the seasonal greens with sesame that they were vegetables, but no it was a salad a poor one at that. It's a salad write on the menu a salad not green's. Very misleading. The vegetable fried rice was awful, more like boiled rice mixed in vegetables and microwaved, that was $20, not worth $5. My colleague are the tofu dish, she said it was OK. I asked for the dessert menu, very disappointed. Only two items on it Mochi Japanese ice-cream and a peach sorbet, not exactly a dessert menu. Not a pastry insight. Give me cheese cake an apple pie even a chocolate mousse. Not here. When I asked the waitress why their wasn't a pastry she said the kitchen was to busy to make a dessert, but yet the ice-cream and sorbet were industrial shop bought. Why didn't they buy some pastries?
I'm a chef, been cooking for over 40 year's. One of the thing's that irritates me is lazyness and lame excuses.
I came to cook in Telluride for a client from London. Now I know why he's got me here.
If it wasn't for the good service, very polite young lady it would have been a very bad night.

Read morePoor quality! Especially for a higher priced restaurant! I ordered to go and when I sat down to eat barely 5 minutes after my order was ready, I was agast. The avocados on my roll were going bad, the fish did not taste even average quality (fishy odor and taste usually not present in quality fresh fish), and the roll was falling apart! Onto the ramen: the chicken in it was poor quality, overcooked, and flavorless, the broth was flavorless aswell and the noodles were an unusual texture. The kimchi was the only salvagable item, and that was the cheapest thing I ordered. My roll and ramen were around $40 and I had to toss them! I am not wealthy by any means and thought I would treat myself for once, big mistake! I can never see myself going back on my own dime, and as a local working in the service industry, I will not be reccomending it to any friends or my largely tourist customer base. Save your money and for higher quality sushi at half the price, head over to local grocery store Clarks Market. Also, I am pretty sure it gave me some low degree of food...
Read moreThe food is amazing. Very good sushi and it taste really amazing. Three stars goes because of the atmosphere and the prices. Since Telluride has a beautiful views, this restaurant is in the basement and I felt I was back in New York. :) Also prices for sushi are much higher for similar sushi restaurants in Manhattan. But if you really crave for good sushi, you’ll...
